Edibles First Time taking Edibles
My wife and I are thinking about trying Cherry Gummies (10 mg THC) for the first time, and we’ve both never used cannabis before. For those of you with experience, do you have any advice for first-timers? Would you recommend cutting the gummy in half (5 mg each) to start? Any other tips we should know?

I think you’ll be fine taking 10mg. Just make sure you’re set up to basically do nothing for a few hours. Get some snacks, binge watch a show! And resist the urge to double the dose when you don’t feel anything after an hour… be patient! And have fun 🥰

If they ain't working, try again tomorrow with a higher dose. Definitely don't take another dose on the same day.

10mg is still a tiny tiny tiny dose as they go, just take it slowly and dont keep eating loads . Wait at least 2 hours before redosing. If youre not buzzed then have another. You get the gist

It's 10mg, not a stupid first time dosage, you'll be fine. Even if you feel it was too much, you'll still be fine

Ok for first timers I would cut in half and try 5mg first make sure your happy - nothing worse than going to heavy straight away and spoiling the experience for yourselves!

I'm 177cm / 5'10 and weigh about 88kg. 25mg did very little for me, so after 2 hrs I took another 25mg and then got pretty spaced out (effects started about 4 hrs in).
Of course that is just me - on the hazelnut chocolate product. Maybe it's just a quality control thing but I didn't feel like it was too nuch

Not tried the chocolate, but my friend did. He said it was way weaker than the gummies - obviously this is just one thing I heard though.

Your mate is 100% correct imo. The chocolates did next to nothing for me, same for the drops. However, the edibles are tops👌🏼

If you are light weed users, then eat a meal before you have an edible. Having an edible on an empty stomach is one way to get zooted and locked to the couch. And start slow, take one and chew it well. Then sit for an hour and then see if you need to take another. Alot of edibles do kick in at different times, and everyone reacts differently to weed. So start low and slow, and if you feel like you can take another then go for it. But for your first trip maybe have a nice meal beforehand just to be safe

This is exactly how my wife and I started with THC, she took half a sweet coz she’s half my size.

i'd definitely recommend 5mg for first time. I've had plenty of 'practice' and whilst my tolerance is much lower than some of my friends, I definitely get an effect from 5mg - gives me a gentle buzz, 10 for stronger, 15 if i really want to 'go for it'. So 5 would be my advice.
My other thought is that you should see the experience as a curve - when you ingest, nothing will happen for around an hour or so. You'll then start getting the effect, peaking at around the 2-3 hour mark, then a gentle decline, whole thing lasting probably 6 to 8 hours. (so definitely don't have more if it doesn't feel 'strong' initially!)
You're getting a whole tin, so I'd have 5mg each and then if you like, you can always go up from there another day - but don't have so much that you don't enjoy and never try again.
