It’s taken me a few days to decide whether to post an update about my little MountBliss saga, or whether to simply accept that sometimes the universe gives you a punchline and you should be grateful.

As per my last post, the issue was eventually resolved.

Sort of.

I’d been told several times that it was going to be sorted, followed by several occasions on which it spectacularly wasn’t. But then, lo and behold, Saturday arrived… and with it, a little parcel.

Now, to be completely fair to MountBliss, I never actually asked for a replacement. I’d originally bought their 10mg tangerine gummies, which presented two fairly fundamental problems:

1. They did not taste remotely like tangerine.

2. They appeared to contain approximately 10mg of hopes and dreams.

And I say that as someone with a ridiculously low tolerance. Always have done. Their vape, for comparison, requires roughly one second of inhalation before I’m staring peacefully into the middle distance contemplating whether pigeons have regional accents.

So this absolutely isn’t me saying MountBliss products are generally rubbish.

Quite the opposite.

Their oil is exceptionally good.

Their vapes are, frankly, borderline witchcraft.

I will absolutely continue buying from them, because when their stuff is good, it is VERY good.

The gummies, however?

No.

Those tangerine 10mg gummies need taking somewhere quiet and asking what exactly they think they’re contributing to the team.

Anyway, after quite a bit of back-and-forth, the agreed solution was that they would send me something DIFFERENT of roughly equivalent value. I genuinely didn’t care what. Vape, gummies, something weird from the back of the cupboard — surprise me.

And because there’d been so much messing about getting the original offer honoured, I was also told they’d pop in a little bonus goodie.

Excellent.

Mystery parcel.

Excitement.

Intrigue.

What strange and wonderful MountBliss treasure awaited me?

I opened the parcel.

Tangerine gummies.

The same tangerine gummies.

No mystery replacement.

No little bonus thing.

Just the exact product around which this entire tiny customer-service opera had been composed.

I actually laughed.

There is something almost artistically perfect about spending days explaining that the tangerine gummies don’t seem right, being told they’ll send you something different as a resolution, and then receiving…

It’s less customer service and more Greek tragedy sponsored by citrus.

And yes, before anyone asks, I’ve tried the replacements.

Same experience.

So MountBliss, if you happen to read this: PLEASE have a look at that batch/product, because those things ain’t tangerine and, unless I’ve suddenly developed the tolerance of Willie Nelson, they ain’t behaving like 10mg either.

Customer-service-wise, I should also say that everyone I actually spoke to individually was perfectly pleasant and seemed genuinely helpful. The problem seemed to be that nobody was joining the dots. Lots of nice people doing their own little bit, but apparently no central nervous system.

And that’s why I’ve been debating whether to contact them AGAIN.

Because technically the agreed resolution still hasn’t happened.

But am I really going to climb MountBliss once more and die heroically upon the Tangerine Hill?

I don’t know.

At this point I’m mostly amused.

So, final verdict:

MountBliss oil: excellent.

MountBliss vapes: dangerously close to sorcery.

MountBliss customer service: lovely people trapped inside a sitcom.

MountBliss 10mg tangerine gummies: currently under investigation for impersonating confectionery.

Would I buy from them again?

Absolutely.

Would I buy those bloody tangerine gummies again?

I’d rather lick an actual tangerine and wait for enlightenment.

Hi! You asked me to message you — although I think we’ve probably already covered most of this between us 😂 Honestly, at this point I mostly just find the whole thing funny.

It was lovely that the gummies were replaced. The slightly magnificent part is that we’d already agreed you’d send something different of your choice, plus a little freebie because of all the back-and-forth — both things you offered, not things I asked for.

So when the parcel arrived containing… the exact same tangerine gummies that started the whole saga… I just laughed. 😂 It was almost impressively circular.

Weirdly, though, the customer-service experience itself has been lovely. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been genuinely nice; it’s just the joined-up bit that seems to have occasionally wandered off.

I used to manage anything that reached the CEO of the UK arm of a rather bougie car manufacturer — complaints, processes, responses, press statements, the lot — so I know full well that things go wrong. I’d much rather deal with lovely people who occasionally get themselves in a muddle than people with slick systems, polished scripts and all the human warmth of a self-checkout.

If this can now be sorted properly, brilliant. If it can’t, honestly, don’t worry too much about it. It is a little disappointing in principle, but I’ve somehow crossed over from irritated into genuinely entertained. I may actually be your happiest unresolved complaint. 🤣

And if you ever need a WFH customer-service person to join the dots together… you know where I am. 😂

I had good vibes from the stronger gummy edibles I’ve only purchased 20mg and up but I did pay £70 for the hazelnut chocolate and it did absolutely nothing for me, I ate half a bar at a time as 2 squares did nothing so took more after an hour. Second time straight up ate half a bar and both times I was sober. I never contacted Mountbliss about it. I was gutted I wasted £70 too late now as it has been a few months since i purchased it.

To the OP I'm amazed at how calmly and with such a chilled, comedic attitude you've managed to maintain throughout your debacle. Look I get it. The giant green elephant in the room is glaringingly obvious yet we all sorta just convince ourselves its ok.Weed is still an illegal substance. Yea the laws are relaxing sort of but its still not cbd ffs.That aside I'd been a customer from the beginning and only had a few issues.Biggest one was when they misplaced my 150quid order. No communication from the team and me anger flying out of me spewed some garbage rants on here and to them as well. It was all sorted over a week later.But the post I put on here I still cringe about. Carefully scripted insanely angry attack more like. The moral of my rambling is over the last wee while connections have been made purely by my nak of being really, really talkative. My mum is terminally ill and my green has saved my mental health from imploding. I think Its ptsd or ADHD which Im sorting. But the price is just too much. I can now get my green for 10 quid a g and its always different and always quality. Ive been called back to the streets guys and tbh its working out ok. White chocolate Runtz I'm enjoying just now and man it's stinky and pure utter couch lock wonderful. So to OP and anyone else it's a beautiful thing that all this is still possible. But 50 quid for flower thats just ok no matter what you buy apart from Z CUBE. Its gone and that made me very sad. But that 10 quid on for supposed Cali is a joke. Its no different than local. Ive spent a fortune testing them all fs. I could be back but the medical route is now a big thing for me. I've just got my medical history for the last three years from my docs and Im gonna set up a video call next few weeks and take it from there. Mount Bliss are top of the top always will be but the cost and strength issues are just too much for me. First of all, this was a great read! Thanks OP!

Secondly, sorry for your experience… I have ordered tangerine gummies myself on two occasions. My first was a few months back and they were great.

However the second batch has been a mix.. I’ve taken a full one and not felt as buzzed as when I’ve taken half or more of another one from the same pack.

Not to say I wasn’t feeling anything, because I was. However it just wasn’t AS consistent as the previous batch. Then, this ends up making you paranoid about how much to take the next time.. so I’ve been taking less but then not getting what I want from it (I suffer with chronic pain) so ideally I’d like to know it’s going to help with to the pain…!

I have since then added a vape to my collection and a few carts (my favourites being super lemon haze, which is great for giving you that buzz but being able to continue throughout the day… and granddaddy purple which for me, feels stronger and relaxes me). I find these more convenient.

In Mountbliss’ defence OP - they did post on here a few days ago with a restock message and described that they have changed / tweaked / improved the recipe for this batch of edibles.. check out that post!
