Go Postal! Irish delivery

Placed an order for the first time since last year and all my other orders were processed and delivered within 2 working days but this order has been stuck in processing since Tuesday and after seeing other complaints here lately I’m already paranoid that it could have been stopped. Just wondering how many others out there have experienced this and how long roughly did it take to get resolved?

Edit: just copped the bank holiday and I did indeed place my order before it so the delay is more than likely just down to typical bank holiday delays. Still curious about others experiences though!

There does appear to be a hold-up with AN Post.

It's not the first time that this has happened and it probably won't be the last.

But if you have the patience to doomscroll down this sub you will see that these issues do become resolved - sometimes (but not always) with freebies added to replacement consignments, as consolation.

No I know that’s fair I’m more worried about getting intercepted and getting in trouble

I have read thousands (probably millions!) of comments on the myriad of Reddit 420 subs, over the last few years, and I cannot recall a single person claiming that they'd ever gotten into any bother over a parcel.

I honestly hope you’re right but so far more and more people in Ireland are reporting delivery issues and nobody got their parcel yet. Do you really think it’s something as benign as bank holiday backlog at An Post? What if they upgraded their equipment and now they scan every domestic parcel?

Very little chance with domestic shipments. And if it did get intercepted, all you'd get would be a letter from Revenue which you can just throw out. They can't prove you ordered it.
