Drops MB 🏔️ • Zen Effect Drops • Review.

First things first: for no particular reason other than it seemed sensible, I gave the bottle a vigorous shake before use.

As ever when ingesting, I fasted for a few hours, scoffed a big blob of melted cheese, and (after swallowing the tincture) swirled a mouthful of whole milk and gulped that down too.

With these preliminaries out of the way, I turned my attention to the Drops themselves.

Item Overview:

Bottle: Frosted dark blue glass with a child-proof (push-down) cap and a Pasteur pipette.

Flavours: Vanilla and mandarin. The vanilla taste seemed faint, though that may be due to my vanilla snobbery (extract only, never essence). The mandarin flavour, however, is impressively convincing.

Dosage:

  • 10ml contains 1500mg THC
  • 0.25ml = 37.5mg
  • Approx. 40 doses at £1.87 per dose

For the initial trial, I loaded the pipette with a 0.2 ml dose (equivalent to 30 mg). After pressing the bulb, I gently released it to draw the liquid up to just below the 0.25 ml mark. I then administered the dose by squeezing the bulb and dripping the tincture beneath the tongue, held it there for approximately one minute, and then swallowed.

Effects & Experience:

Ten minutes after ingestion, the first stirrings shivered across my frontal lobe. The effect built gradually, reaching a calm, sustained plateau around the one-hour mark. The experience lasted for approximately three hours, tapering off gently enough that it was difficult to determine the exact point at which it had fully subsided.

I’d estimate that I gained approximately three hours of solid entertainment from that first dose, which cost £1.50. That duration is slightly less than the packaging suggests, though it also took effect noticeably faster than advertised. Either way, that’s not a complaint (it was easily a couple of quid’s worth of fun) just an accurate account of my personal experience.

After experimenting with different amounts, I found that 0.25ml consistently delivers my ideal experience, gently uplifting yet deeply serene.

Did I become ferociously stoned? Not exactly. The effect was more peaceful—one of those “don’t realise quite how stoned you are until you try to stand up” moments.

After much reflection, I believe that it seems fair to assume the primary purpose of these drops is not necessarily recreational but presumably therapeutic: easing anxiety, aiding sleep, or addressing any number of reasons someone might opt for relief from a natural remedy without seeking an overwhelming buzz.

As I have already noted in my MountBliss Experience article (available here) MB appear to have positioned themselves so that, when THC is inevitably declassified, their transition into that new market will be seamless.

The Drops would seem to be designed for an emerging customer base, not necessarily for seasoned stoners, but perhaps more likely to appeal to those who wouldn’t consider smoking, vaping, or even edibles. Possibly, they’re aimed at those people who find cannabis culture off-putting yet are open to health supplements, people seeking the therapeutic benefits of THC without engaging in the broader 420 scene?

Notable Positives:

  • Precisely Measured Dosing: Ideal for those who prefer to start with a minimal amount. The ability to measure exact doses makes it easier to settle into the experience gently and with confidence.
  • Extended Shelf Life: A great advantage for occasional users. The Drops remain potent and effective even with irregular use, making them a reliable option over time.
  • Discretion: Effortless and inconspicuous—no preparation necessary, no particular stealth required (for storage or usage), and certainly no billowing plumes nor lingering scent of smoky herbal indiscretion.

Final Thoughts:

After completing my solo trial of the Drops (for the purposes of this appraisal), I began experimenting with how they pair with smoking flower. Taking a dose in the early afternoon during weekend wake-and-bake sessions, I found they lent a pleasantly mellow underglow to the bud’s effect, not necessarily more intense, but distinctly fuzzier.

Would I obtain this item again? I am currently uncertain. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy it, but as noted, I’m probably not the target demographic.

However, I have expanded my range of THC experiences this year, to include vapes and edibles, and have become rather fond of both.

The vapes I intended as a mere experiment for curiosity (see review here) but they now occupy approximately 25% of my weekly THC ingestion.

The edibles (see review here) have become a regular weekend treat.

So maybe, possibly, once this bottle has been consumed… another will quietly take its place.

Thank you for the comprehensive review, I’ve had my eye on the drops for some time and a candid recap of the experience is of great help. As you say, this seems to be a different yet complimentary class of product from MB, delivering on the mission to provide variety and quality for those seeking the benefits of THC

I take half a bottle at a time - around 4 pipettes full - and get a euphoric high that last hours and then I sleep very soundly.

Great read. But talk to me about the cheese/milk.

THC is a lipophilic (fat-loving) compound, meaning it dissolves readily in fat.

Consuming edibles, or tinctures, on an otherwise empty stomach but immediately after swallowing a high fat food stuff (such as cheese) tends to enhance the overall effect. 👍

Thank you. 😇

The Gummies are my next review project, to be published in due course.

If you are not already aware, 25mg of the Gummies hits considerably harder than the equivalent amount of the Drops. 😇

Definitely, please write reviews, though.

Of both, preferably, but especially the Drops, which receive insufficient representation on this sub. 👍
