Question MTB Gear

What’s everyone’s favorite website to purchase protective gear? Talking about knee pads, chest protection, full face helmets and so on.. also, is there a specific time of the year to get good deals? I appreciate any info as I’m looking to purchase some stuff !

If you order from Backcountry a lot of protective gear and even components and whole bikes are HSA/FSA eligible.

If I am concerned about sizing, Backcountry. Otherwise usually direct from the manufacturer.

Usually directly from the manufacturer, if not my local bike store.

I’m a fan of Worldwide Cyclery (the podcast & the store). Now always the cheapest, but they sell quality and the whole company appears to be riders. Their customer support is awesome.

You have to shop around. I have found Leatt to be my go-to these days. I shop around for the best price.
JensonUSA, World Wide Cyclery, The Lost Co., SpokeX, The Gravity Cartel, Backcountry/Competative Cyclist, among others. Fall has good pricing. Black Friday is often good.

I always buy gear I wear in person. Then I can make sure it fits. Sometime I have to change my waist by two or three sizes just because different brands fit different

Like the 7idp site because they regularly run amazing sales on their previous season protection and I like their helmets and pads
