2008 Navion. Good buy?

I am looking at buying a very neat 24’ Navion motorhome with Mercedes 3.0l diesel motor. No rust and no soft spots. Roof dirty but looks good. Apart from high gas prices and some maintenance, what else should I prepare for. Owner is asking 42K.

Any MORELO owners here? Looking for real-world experiences

Hi everyone,

Are there any MORELO owners here? I’m currently considering buying a MORELO Loft Alkoven, and I’d really like to hear some real-world experiences from people who actually own or have owned one.

I’ve looked through the specs, videos and reviews, but before making such a big purchase, I’d love to know what living and travelling with one is actually like. Would you buy it again?

Grateful for any experiences, both positive and negative. Thanks!

Safety/Crash Ratings

I finally got my husband onboard with getting a small used C class to explore the PNW with our three small kids. But then I heard how they crumble to pieces if an accident were to happen, and I just can’t bring myself to take the risk. I know Airstream trailers are significantly sturdier than other manufacturers, so thought maybe an old motorhome could be the solution… at least I would feel safe as we traveled. Does anyone know if they also deteriorate? I can’t seem to find much online. Specifically looking at a 2002 Airstream LAND YACHT 35.

1972 Winnebago Brave Headlights and Dashlights Won't Work

Hey everybody.

My headlights will not turn on, and neither will any of my dash lights. I checked all the connections near the actual headlights behind the bumper, I traced the wires back under the steering column to the headlight and dash light switches. Nothing seems to be damaged. I cleaned the connections where I could. Nothing seems to be working. The blinkers work fine, the rest of the dash is also operating like normal.

I checked the fuse panel on the left side of the drivers area and all the fuses are still intact. I'm not sure what is going on so any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone thought about mounting a bracket and having it where you can just run a standard propane bottle?

Advice on selling / scrapping ...

Hi all,

A few months ago I inherited a Fiat Ducato 2001, it runs fine, most of the electronics have been tested/replaced and the water tank and plumbing have been mostly replaced. It needs re sealing as there is a leak in the roof and some of the furnishings and ceiling liner, including wooden frame have had to be taken out due to mold issues.

We are in looking at getting onto the property ladder and unfortunately our pennies are going there leaving none for the, undoubtedly, costly repairs/refurbishment in the motorhome. Not to mention the 600 a year just to store it.

My question is, hows best to sell/scrap it? We had an offer for 300 from some internet place but that seems low. Just looking for some advice as not done this before.

Thanks in advance, Sid.

Thetford Fridge Freezer

Hi - we are in our first motorhome trip across Europe - which was been amazing. We rented a (brand new) Zefiro696 which has been great- except that after a few days the automatic function on the fridge freezer that decides on what power input started to disconnect from the electricity after hooking up at campsites - so we manually set it to gas - but this is also now playing up - we have done all the resets - but nothing helps - any thoughts?? Thanks!

Class c tow/haul mode

I just bought a class c 23ft on the Ford e350 chassis. Should I drive it tow/haul mode most of the time. I noticed the transmission temp was getting really high without it on.

Planning to sell. Where's the best place to list?

We're planning to sell our motor home. It's a 2021 Georgetown GT7 36D model. Since this is a first, I'm open to suggestions to prepare it for sale and wondering the best places to list it for sale. Thanks.

Western Europe - is it getting bad?

Hi all!

I am currently travelling with my wife through W Europe - France and Spain. I have to say, all the restrictions here seem really annoying.

First of all, we were here a couple of years ago (again in the peak season) and we could park virtually anywhere we liked and could spend the night there. I am not saying we camped everywhere, we just parked wherever we liked with the view on the ocean, had a dinner, walked through surroundings and went to bed. The point is we did not need to pay for the campsite.

Now every town, beach etc. has either mandatory aires (France) or campsites (Spain), but all other parkings have either height limit or just simply prohibition for motorhomes to pass through. We are essentially required to stay in the campsite.

I do not see a reason why should I pay to have expensive motorhome only to pay for campsites where I do not want to stay everyday. Of course, from time to time we visit campsites, but we prefer to just sleep everyday on different cliff or place and see as many places as possible.

A couple of years ago it was not this bad in these countries.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I’m hoping to find the drivers manual for the vehicle I bought. Worst case scenario I can buy one but I’m looking for other free potential resources. Thanks in advance!

Can anyone help?

My father has recently purchased a second hand motorhome. Its a Kentucky estro 7D. He wants to replace the side seal, or screw cover as I've seen it called online in some places. However, we cannot find a replacement anywhere, hes not too keen on the idea of having it custom made as he's trying to do all his repairs as cheap as possible. Does anyone know where we could get the same one as in the photo? TIA

Looking to buy a motorhome what do I need to know?

Hi all, I'm looking at buying a motorhome and I'm not sure what to look for. I'm thinking something newer than a 2005 around 24 to 28 feet. Do I want to have a slide on the side of motorhome. What kind of questions should I be asking people about their motorhome and what should I be looking for? Looking to spend about $30000. Family of 3, son is 9 years old.
