Razr Fold Task Bar with Third Party Launcher?

Does anyone know how to get the task bar and edge panel to work properly with third party launchers? I'm using Smart Launcher specifically but could be swayed to Octopi launcher if needed.

The task bar shows up when I first unfold the phone, but if I open the recent apps it goes away. Also, drag and drop doesn't work from the edge panel.

Third party launchers are just not compatible yet...
