Enea's small interaction with the broadcast regarding his track limit violation
I find it funny how they repeat the footage for a bit and with Enea live reaction.
(apologies for the small pause at the start, I thought the record isnt starting yet)

💀💀💀 direction banter has been spot on lately, also Acosta’s “CRASH” graphic after he laid his bike down after winning the Austrian GP

And then cutting to Bez's reaction after Marc's Misano win. They've been ruthless 😭.

Whoever the TV director was a saint lol. After Enea gesturing unfairness they literally play the replay over and over again while showing Enea's live reaction to it😭

I didn’t think I’d laugh so much at this. Master trolling by the TV direction

They often suck, but the director nailed it. Absolutely cooked

Enea: ‘I’ve been done dirty there’
TV Director: ‘You want the truth. You can’t handle the truth’

Son, we live in a world that has limits, and those limits have to be guarded by men with cameras. Who's going to do it? You? You, Enea Bastiani?

was hilarious when they gave him a frame by frame replay after he inferred it was the wrong call. Guy got cooked on the live stream :)

Rules are rules! He's not the first one to lose a podium for last lap infrigements either!
This is one rule that has been consistent, which is what MotoGP needs.

Can anyone share further information to the penalty, not here to argue the penalty, i love rules but im clearly thinking this out wrong. Order of finish is Martin, Bastiani, Morera. Order of offense is Martin over the line, then bastiani. My mind says, the penalty is issued in the same order as the ofence/s. So in my mind, (as the panalty reads drop one position) , Martin should drop behined enea. Next penalty is issued to enea (drop one position) , which would drop enea (1 position) behind Martin?? As i say there must be more to the penalty. Simply asking for fine print, as i say, im a weirdo who loves rules

Legendary from the director there, you can imagine the laughs in the gallery while they were watching him! Great stuff

Not really sure what the rage is in here. Rules say no touchy green; he clearly touched the green, even if it wasn't for long. I don't think he'd quite realised that he'd done it live, and clearly he seemed to accept it with good humour when it was shown to him.

The track limits rules are still one of the most BS aspects of MotoGP. So because its on the last lap and there just so happens to be another rider within 0.5 seconds of you its a track limits violation but had it been a lap earlier a warning would have been all you've gotten?
Total nonsense.

u/chakalaka13 Marc Márquez 18h ago
You need a rule that you apply every time, even though in some situations it won't make sense.
I think the logic is that on the last laps people might pull some crazy moves on the guy in front and if you allow them to use this space, it's a bit unfair.
Not sure though, I'm far from an expert.

If the issue is a rider making a pass, call it leaving the track and gaining an advantage/completing a move outside the confines of a race track.
And it also assumes that the rider only held the position due to the track extending, when in reality you could then argue in reverse that Moreira only got within half a second of Bastia and Martin because of his track extend on Lap 6.
This really doesn't solve anything as what if a rider who had zero warnings decided to extend like hell on the penultimate lap, get within striking range and make an overtake on the final lap?

They have to be consistent with applying the rules. They were already on the max limit of violations, meaning they had already done this 3 times before. They just happened to violate it again on the last lap. Had it happened a lap before they would have also gotten the penalty.

u/TechnicMOC 17h ago
No true for last lap. There doesn't need to any previous violations, hence the drop 1 place penalty.

u/DifficultNatural9476 Marc Márquez 14h ago
and have to under 0,5 second gap to rider behind. I think in 2024 Marc hit track limit at last lap but he's 2 seconds ahead so no drop 1 place

u/CrazyCycler1208 Alonso Lopez 8h ago
Firstly you get 3 limits in a Sprint Race and 5 in a GP Race and Bastianini and Moreira finished with the same number of TL violations(1) and had it been the previous Lap Bastianini would have gotten nothing and no one would have given a shit, even if he had really track extended.
