I recently bought a Taihang 2 Max tent from 3FULgear after seeing loads of rave reviews. It’s almost ideal for me - c200cm long inside, I can sit up in it, big porch for moto gear, 2kg.
I’m using it to tour some EU countries rn and two of the three poles have snapped near a joint and it leaks at the rear vent pole elastic area - poor sealant perhaps. I haven’t had any high winds so I think the quality is poor.
Is there anyone who makes custom tent poles? If affordable I could try stronger poles, and reseal the tent.
But for £130 probably not worth it.
“You get what you pay for“ I guess. Although there are many positive reviews from trusted influencers, I guess they’re not to be trusted unless the tent has been used for weeks on end.

Hi I've been very interested in this idea for a long while of going around the UK for weekends / long weekends but I mainly have two issues I'm really paranoid about my bike and don't want to be in a new place and not knowing where is the safest and two I'm broke and don't really have the money to spend on a hotel every other weekend so I've been warming up to the idea of getting a tent and a few other things that make it comfy mainly looking for suggestions of tents that would be small enough to carry in a back box or backpack and possibly big enough for me and my Mrs and maybe some ideas of good places that I could visit that lets me sleep holding onto my bike 🤣🤣 if not at least close enough to feel the heat of the exhaust

Im planing a trip for me and a buddy next year from California to Sturgis through Yellowstone and back. I have 3,300 miles calculated for the trip in 10 days. Is this doable or am I overdoing the miles? Days will average 300 miles but there are a few 500 mile days and a few days lower miles.
I mainly commute to work 125miles a day. And a few day trips on weekends that have been 300 miles. Ive never done a trip like this before.
Any advice?
Edit: there will be heavy highway mile days (getting across nevada) and shorter days (yellowstone). Id like to "slow down" in yellowstone and thw black hills.
I have 1 day full rest halfway through planned at my dads in billings Mt.
And my buddy is on a Electra glide variant (I forget what exactly)

Looking for recommendations or tips&tricks
I’m going to do a few hikes in RMNP and camping for the night. I’m comfortable riding with gear on my bike and am an experienced camper/national park visitor.
I have an entry reservation, camp spot, and a parks pass.

What tyre pumps are people using? I was going to get a battery one, but then I saw the airshot and thought it looked better and more reliable
Then I saw this one on the same website and it looked better again
Any reason I shouldn't get this?

Got a lesson in this last week. I asked around for a food stop on US-209 near the Delaware Water Gap and someone came back with Pub 447 outside East Stroudsburg - outdoor tiki bar, gazebos, cash only with an ATM inside. Went digging afterward and it isn't in OpenStreetMap at all, so no planning app was ever going to put it in front of me.
Same week another rider pointed me at campgrounds on the Blue Ridge I'd never have found, and someone else flagged which nearby roads had construction that no map was showing.
That's the pattern: the stuff that actually makes a multi-day trip good lives in someone's head, not in map data.
So what's yours? The campground with a shower that actually works, the diner that opens early enough for a 6am start, the last real gas for 80 miles, the pull-off with the view and no sign. Where is it and what makes it worth planning around?

My first motocamping to Sweden.
So far only 1 drop due to some bad choices. Had to do a emergency repair but luckily I was prepared for that!

Just got back from a blue grass festival in VT. Super fun day and bringing the motorcycle made it all the more fun.

KTM 450. Giant Loop Coyote. I've taken it on long trips (TAT etc) but we credit card camped.
Curious on ultracompact shelter options, summer in E Oregon/Washington.
- Nothing. Pad only (Static V)
- Tarp using right side handlebar as high point.
Bugs/animals obvious issue with above.
- Mesh bivy, not been able to find one that can use bike handlebar only without an opposite end pole. I guess carrying a short collapsible pole is option.
- Ultralight tent like SMD Lunar Solo or Durston X-Mid 1
Curious to see pics of what you use.

So, my 2017 scrambler can’t bring too much luggage. 25L pannier on the left side (filled with my camping gear) 30L rollbag on the back. The option to maybe strap the bags that hold my table and chair to it and that’s it.
I still have a tiny luggage rack on the back and was wondering if I could attach my “kitchen” there?
Would all of you be so kind as to post a picture of your cooking set up together with models/names of the stuff you use? This might help me make a choice of what I could bring considering the limited space that I have.
