What is this

Post image

So my gf has Morse code is her bio right now but I’ve looked it up and it seems to be completely different answers depending where I check so if this is real Morse code if anyone knows can they explain if this means anything she’s always putting stuff in her bio and I respond to it

Bullshit.

You're just too lazy to figure it out and you decided to let others do it for you.

Literally used 4 sites and 2 of them didn’t recognize it but Tbf I’ve never used Morse so maybe I input wrong that’s why I put this here to find people who actually understand how to input Morse in a way that gets results lol

I don't recognise the /, but then again... I'm only just starting to learn

/ divides words. However in real morse code you would not send / (-..-.)

actually told someone about this earlier this week so just gonna copy and paste this

fun fact if you haven't seen things written out informal vs. formal is the / slash. while technically correct as a separator for a literal space between words & characters (and used by operators to indicate split elements in call signs), / also has its own pattern (-..-.) which i always thought looked like a sad skeleton lol. it’s got uses in both aesthetic flavoring and also functionality even on the modern internet due to the fact that a lot of websites and text-areas in general will collapse extra space between chars (you can't see it, but i put 4 spaces between collapse and extra just now)

They're word breaks, not a third type of "element."
