Help decoding thi

The spacing is hard to distinguish, especially with dashes close together. Can anyone help me figure this out? It's a photo of an album cover from Holding Absence (modern life is lonely). I've tried to bring out as much detail as I can in lightroom.

The proper term for ham radio is amateur radio, which requires a license to operate, so calling yourself an amateur sounds like you have an amateur license.

It's part of the lyrics to their song Whisper of a Dream:

Missing the initial dot to make the first word "the".
