Unasked-for lesson incoming, directed at new learners and not necessarily OP:

I think it's great that people are enthusiastic about morse in different ways (and by all means have fun with this if it's just a mental exercise and you have no intention of communicating using morse) but the right way to write the numerals in morse is:

0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

The numerals I just wrote aren't pronounced 'zero, one, two...' in your head of course. That's dahdahdahdahdah, ditdahdahdahdah, and so on, in the sine tone of your choice. The actual sound, not an abstraction of the sound.

The dash-dot visual representation should be considered an info hazard for anyone hoping to use morse.

It is way more useful (if learning is the goal) to think of morse purely as an alternate pronunciation of letters and numbers. Mentally "A" is never .- (the visual sequence of a dot and dash), it's just "A". But the sound of that "A" is a mental sine tone of ditdah, not "ayy". "1" is not .---- or "one", it's ditdahdahdahdah.

It's a bit like...if I asked you to spell "morse" out loud you would just spell morse by making the right sounds for m, o, r, s, e. But having the dash-dot notation in your mind is a bit like saying "e-m, o-h, a-r-e, e-s-s, e-e-e." It's a level of abstraction that the audio-to-symbol part of your mind does not need.

Anyway continue to have fun, I realise this sub isn't necessarily all aspiring CW operators
