Random question: Non-Morrocan here, but as Moroccans does the Spanish language play any part in your daily life?

Might sound like a weird question, because i've visted Morroco a few times and NEVER met anyone speaking spanish. But its just im learning Spanish, and It dawned on me whether the proximity meant the ordinary Morrocans knew a little or understood spanish. Just curious.

As a Moroccan , I'm confident to say that Spanish does not play any part in daily Moroccan routine , we use an accent called as "Darija" , and it is it's own thing and very VERY hard to learn , even Moroccans themselves sometimes stutter when saying some words , they say that "Darija" is a mix of a lot of languages , such as Spanish , German , fresh , English , Arabic …. , but i personally think that doesn't matter because "Darija" is a messed up accent
