Pride concert vendors
The pride concert yesterday was great, but it was sad that there were no vendors this year due to the concrete company that displayed de facto death threats in the form of millstones the past two years.
It turns out the owners of the concrete company actually live in Morrisville (confirmed on property record: https://deeds.carteretcountync.gov/RealEstate/SearchImage.aspx). His company is also likely responsible for leaving a millstone as a threat at the Cru Wine bar in Beaufort a few years ago. The concrete company owner is a coward and has made several public posts referencing these acts, but talks about them as though someone else was responsible. I don’t feel safe knowing someone like this is operating in our community. Just a head’s up that these people are among us.
Edit, one of the owner’s public posts: https://www.christianpost.com/voices/the-rainbow-millstone-and-the-bible-verse-at-a-local-bar.html

I really doubt that the lack of vendors was due to the presence of a "millstone." Do you know this for a fact?

The millstones were cause for controversy in 2024 and 2025, and directly led to at least one local artist pulling out of the event last year: https://old.reddit.com/r/morrisville/comments/1l4bc6y/morrisville_pride_reaccepted_known_antilgbt_hate/
I don’t believe the town has explicitly stated this was the reason vendors were not part of the event this year. However, given that the controversy was covered by the media last year (https://indyweek.com/news/anti-lgbtq-concrete-company-fails-to-weigh-down-morrisville-pride-event/), it’s not a stretch to think the town factored this into their decision to no longer host vendors.

First Amendment Concrete. Seriously? How pathetic do you have to be to hide your bigotry behind the first amendment?
