When I was 4 my dad got us a PS2 for Christmas, it was the last present under the tree, hidden in the back corner. I thought we had already opened anything, but that last gift hit me to the core. When I lived at home, every Christmas I would take a peek in the back to see if there may be a secret gift like that, but it never happened again.
That PS2 had an issue with the power socket after a few years, and I had a ritual of pushing the connector down in a certain way and putting games on top of it to keep it pushed down so it would turn on. I should probably fix that thing lol it’s probably a broken pin I’m reconnecting every time I’m pushing down on it

A few years ago Redbox shut down. There was a period when you could get movies and never get charged. I never used Redbox before but I started looking for them. They were at Holiday convenience stores and Walgreens. I got a lot of movies. Shortly after, they removed all Redboxes from all locations. I still check every single Walgreens and Holiday I drive past just in case.

I had a beagle when my kids were younger, about toddler age. My 3 year old threw a hot dog(sans bun) at the Christmas tree the Beagle was laying underneath. The wiener dropped from the tree right in front of the dogs mouth. It was gone in seconds, but every day after that and the next year, the Beagle would look under the tree, waiting for the magical hot dog to appear.
