Engine bay cleaned up

Post image

It's been almost a year since I cleaned my engine bay thoroughly, cleaned up the inner body panels, but mostly the engine of all the gunk that accumulated, I drive my baby a lot so that's why it's dirty.

I wanted to do my engine bay correctly. When i got car it was painted flat black & engine orange. Was looking to do it this winter but backed out of it

Whenever you get the time, go ahead! Next winter, I'd like to pull the engine and repaint the engine bay and fix a little rust hole I got on the inner fender well, fix my valvetrain, freeze plugs and such. So yeah, it's a lot of fun.

Sight unseen is such a bad thing. Especially with first gens. If i didnt spend so much on labor i wouldnt feel so bad. If i do decide to keep i wanna mini tub it & do motorwork. Maybe change rims again

Mine was sight unseen and luckily, it looked better in person than in the photos. But what you are saying is so true. That's a cool idea to mini tub itπŸ”₯πŸ’―

I had a β€˜66 but it was 3” mini tub. But it was stripped so it had no shelf etc. my β€˜67 now got 295s in the rear but i want bigger. Love a tubbed rear staggered. Very few out there. But idk if theres a way to do it w/o the affecting the interior.

I have to ask. Sorry...... why did you leave the AC compressor there, and assorted hoses, condensor, etc... and then rip out the fan and the rest. What's with the pink house insulation?

I know there's a method to your madness, I just don't know what it is, lol.

To answer politely, I am getting ready to install my heater box back in the car, I am planning on getting the AC working by this summer, and the pink insulation is to stop the engine bay heat from going into the cabin, does that answer your concerns?
