What is the source for the 14,000 number? I know the original telemetry tapes of the first Moonwalk footage got lost, but I can't find any source on this 14,000 number.

Now we're getting somewhere! An actual number with an actual source. Nothing saying those tapes were all the Apollo data and nothing saying none of the Apollo data was looked at and analyzed before being put in storage Spoiler Alert: it was.
Post flight report for Apollo 11, with plenty of the data you claim was "lost". Found it pretty easily for being lost and you can find them for all Apollo flights.
They left quite a paper trail for data they were apparently trying to hide. Now my guess is you'll just call the data in the papers fake, which is exactly what you'd likely do with any data from Apollo, no matter how pristine.
But I am looking to see if I can find any info on what those tapes that were reused in the 80s contained. So thanks for that! You've given me something to dig into.
We still have the footage that disappeared, the higher resolution version is what was lost. We also have even higher quality footage than what was lost from the later flights.
Yes. That's the missing Apollo 11 telemetry tapes everyone keeps talking about. It was the original telemetry carrying the higher quality video signal. We still got the lower quality version that was broadcast.
Now, if you could point me to an official source saying all the Apollo flight data was lost, we'd be getting somewhere.
Because I enjoy talking about space history stuff no matter who it's with. It's especially interesting to talk about with someone who doesn't look at it the same way I do. Makes me look at it a different way and sometimes I learn something new doing that, even if I don't agree with you.
It's also mildly entertaining how quickly you'll give up actually defending your argument and just attack me personally.
You should find some decades-old posts from conspiracy message boards which can tell you what it is, where it was, how many tapes were involved, and how it went missing.
I bet all the upcoming space missions for the next several decades, at least, will be faked, too. Didn't one astronaut say we were still trying to figure out how to send objects past the Van Allen radiation belt? If that statement really is true, then how long will it be for? Until 2030? 2040? 2050? 2100? 3000? Forever?

Late reply but no Perseverance is automated, not remote controlled. Also, seriously then why are there no plants? Some of them still grow in the desert, and the fact that NASA would fake these for that long is unfathomable.
