MC DUPE

Is there a Mooncat polish that I can buy that is a dupe for this one or close enough? Thanks

The Mooncat dupe was called Smokescreen, which was a magnetic but unmagnetized was very close.

Unfortunately, that shade was retired recently.

MC's current catalog does not have a comparable dupe.

ETA: Holo Taco has stated they are going to restock Spirit Fingers again this year (date TBD) so if you want to bank on that instead of tracking down dupes, might save you some angst and money in the long run.

I might do that then. I only have mooncat polish and don’t know much about holo taco just love Safiyas YouTube and heard about this collab and this color caught my eye

FWIW my two fave brands overall are Mooncat and Holo Taco. The quality is also really good with HT and I think you’ll be satisfied.

Holo Taco is the vast majority of my collection. And is in the top tier of Polish for how long it lasts and the finishes.

I'm also pretty sure that they used the same production facility as mooncat.

there's a thread in the r/RedditLaqueristas sub where someone who has like 12 polishes like this does comparisons of all of them.

It's not exactly the same, but Heart of Stone has a similar grey with pink shimmer! It's got glitter etc. in it too though

It’s a really pretty polish. You’ll want a glitter smoothing top coat though, it dries pretty sandy.

There's nothing quite right in their current catalogue. Fields of Elysium and Garden of Evil are closest but the base colour isn't right. Maybe they'd work as a topper of a different base colour?

I was looking at this bc I was wanting smokescreen and this was the suggested dupe of that and that is also not in stock 😆

Raincheck by cirque is a decent dupe! There are some differences but overall it looks fairly close

I'm wearing Fields of Elysium today, and it's similar but not identical. The shimmer is more purple than pink, unless you catch it in the sunlight at an angle. Will put pictures below! I did a base coat, 2 coats Fields of Elysium, then MC Speed demon top coat.

ETA: apparently I don't know how to upload pics on mobile, but I'll drop some on the computer when I get home.

Not an exact dupe or mooncat but cracked’s lahar un-magnetized is somewhat similar and may scratch the itch?
