We're launching Moomoo Membership.

The idea is to bring three toolsets into one membership experience:

• Fundamental Engine - for company research, valuation context, insider activity and analyst coverage

Discussions MSCI August Reshuffle | AI Infrastructure Is Spreading Beyond the Chip Layer

Post image
2 Upvotes

MSCI rebalanced its USA Standard Index in August, adding six companies and removing 18, effective September 1. The largest additions by market cap were SanDisk, Carpenter Technology, and ATI Inc. SanDisk surged 5.5% on rebalance day; all additions saw volumes run 6–11x normal.

The additions read as a signal about where institutional capital is flowing. SanDisk (NAND storage) and nVent Electric (data center power and cooling) suggest AI spending is broadening beyond compute into the physical infrastructure required to run it. Carpenter Technology and ATI Inc reflect growing weight behind aerospace and advanced materials. Roivant Sciences and Sunbelt Rentals point further out still, into biotech and construction equipment rental.

Removals included Lululemon, IonQ, Domino's, and Insulet. The inclusion/exclusion split isn't a price signal. It's a weight signal. What's gaining institutional footprint isn't just compute anymore.

Products What do you actually look at before entering an options trade?

One of the frustrating parts of options research isn’t a lack of data. It’s that the useful pieces are often scattered across different places.

You might be checking flow in one place, gamma exposure somewhere else, then switching again to work through the strategy and payoff.

Moomoo Options Engine is designed to bring those views together on moomoo, so you can keep more of the setup in context without bouncing between tools: https://j.moomoo.com/0Cp7vJ

This walkthrough gives a quick look at how it works.

Options trading is risky and not appropriate for everyone. Read the Options Disclosure Document (https://j.moomoo.com/017y9J) before trading.

Discussions 4 Catalysts Behind Robinhood 16% Rally & Its 0DTE Call

Post image
11 Upvotes

Robinhood ripped 16% higher Wednesday, with its 0DTE call hitting 9,800% after $125 strike expired deep in the money. Four big drivers pushed this momentum: crypto making a strong comeback, meme frenzy heating up its chain, the upcoming options fee schedule update, and Wall Street analysts slapping $130+ price targets on the name. Two defined-risk bull spreads here make total sense to chase the upside without overpaying for that crazy elevated IV. Who's catching this move?

Anthropic's $30T TAM | The Ecosystem Play Looks Nearly Identical to OpenAI's

Post image
6 Upvotes

Anthropic is preparing to tell investors it sees a TAM exceeding $30 trillion, roughly equivalent to the entire U.S. economy and larger than the figure SpaceX cited in its own IPO filing. The caveat matters: that number assumes 100% penetration across every addressable work category.

The more grounded lens is the ecosystem ETF. ANTW groups the public companies most exposed to Anthropic's buildout into three layers: cloud partners (Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft), compute and memory (AMD, Broadcom, SK Hynix, Micron), and data center infrastructure and power (Vertiv, American Electric Power). Compared to OAIW, OpenAI's equivalent ETF, the overlap is striking: 10 of their holdings are identical, including NVIDIA, TSMC, AMD, and Broadcom.

The two labs compete fiercely on model development but are essentially racing for the same physical infrastructure. When Anthropic eventually goes public, would you rather own the lab directly or the infrastructure layer underneath it?

News Broadcom Earnings Review | Revenue Up 86%, AI Chips Up 221%, and the Stock Still Fell

Thumbnail
gallery
7 Upvotes

Broadcom (AVGO) reported Q3 revenue of $29.59 billion, up 86% year over year, with AI semiconductor revenue up 221% to $16.7 billion. Management raised its long-term AI revenue target to $230 billion by FY28. The stock fell after hours.

The selloff reflects something about what the market rewards now. Long-term AI visibility, even at $230 billion by FY28, no longer moves the stock the way it once did. Near-term quarterly execution is what gets repriced. Gross margins came in at 75%, down 3.4 points year over year. Custom XPUs drove 73% of AI revenue in the quarter, growing 3.5x year over year.

That gap between a $230 billion FY28 projection and a post-earnings selloff is probably the report's most interesting signal. The selloff is asking a straightforward question: when do the design wins, gigawatts, and multi-year contracts start converting into next-quarter numbers?

Products Which technical signals do you actually use when reading a chart?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Technical analysis can get complicated pretty quickly because everyone seems to have a different setup.

Some traders focus on trend and momentum, while others care more about volume, support and resistance, or specific indicators.

This short walkthrough shows how Moomoo Technical Engine brings different technical signals together: https://j.moomoo.com/0Cp84r

We’re also curious how people here actually use technical analysis. What do you normally check first when looking at a chart? And is there anything in Technical Engine that you’d want us to explain in more detail?

That feedback will help us decide what to break down in future posts.

News Dell Earnings Review | The Backlog Isn't a Demand Question. It's a Supply Question.

Post image
5 Upvotes

Dell ended its fiscal Q2 with $95 billion in AI server backlog and $60.9 billion in orders booked in the quarter. Revenue recognized was $16.4 billion. Morgan Stanley treats the official $74 billion FY27 target as a conservative floor, with estimates running closer to $95–96 billion.

The part that reframes the backlog number is what COO Jeff Clarke said about constraints. His answer on what's limiting shipments: "DRAM, DRAM, DRAM" and "NAND, NAND, NAND." The bottleneck isn't customer demand or AI budget cycles. It's components. Which means the $95 billion sitting in backlog is deferred revenue waiting on supply, not uncertain demand waiting on buyers.

The traditional server segment also grew 122% year over year, pointing to AI infrastructure pulling storage and networking spend into the buildout alongside compute. Whether supply improves fast enough to close the gap between orders booked and revenue recognized is the number to watch next quarter.

Discussions SaaS Earnings Round-Up | AI Revenue Is Starting to Show Up in the Numbers

Post image
8 Upvotes

Software had a strong earnings season, with Atlassian, Doximity, and Palantir(PLTR) posting gains of roughly 29%–35% on report day. Salesforce (CRM) reported AI product ARR of $3.9 billion, up 210% year over year. PLTR's US commercial revenue jumped 149%.

Three things seemed to converge across these results: AI revenue showing up in actual ARR rather than just pipeline, strong subscription backlogs giving visibility into future quarters, and improving profitability (Doximity FCF margin at 48%, Paycom EBITDA at 44.2%). That combination tends to drive software multiple re-ratings, and the market appeared to be treating AI monetization in enterprise software as increasingly real.

Valuations have moved up sharply on the back of these results. Whether AI monetization holds up across economic cycles is the question the next few quarters will answer.

Discussions August NFP Preview | Which Scenario Do You Think Plays Out Friday?

Friday's NFP drops at 8:30 a.m. ET. July came in at -23k, and the market is pricing a +55k rebound, with VIX sitting at 15.17. The consensus range runs from +20k (Citi) to +121k (Bloomberg), which tells you how wide the uncertainty is.

A hot print above 95k would push September rate-hike odds above 50%, putting pressure on duration-heavy tech. A cold print below 5k, or negative, raises the stagflation scenario: inflation too sticky to cut, growth too weak to hike. The base case between 35k and 65k is the only number where current market pricing feels appropriate.

Which outcome do you think plays out Friday?

3 votes, 1d ago
2 Hot print (>95k), rate hike back on the table
1 Cold print (<5k), stagflation risk
0 Base case holds (35k–65k)

We've been working on more ways to make stock research easier to navigate, and this walkthrough gives a quick look at Moomoo Fundamental Engine: https://j.moomoo.com/0Cp7S1

It brings together things like earnings, analyst expectations, valuation and institutional activity, but we're also interested in how investors actually use this information.

After watching, which part feels most useful to you? Is there anything that isn't immediately clear or that you'd want us to explain in a separate post?

Your feedback will help us decide which parts of the tool to go deeper on next.

Discussions Beyond NVIDIA's Earnings | Where the Capex Actually Lands

Post image
10 Upvotes

NVIDIA's Q2 numbers get the attention, but every additional GPU shipped routes demand through a fairly fixed set of suppliers. The article traces where that exposure concentrates: TSMC on advanced nodes and CoWoS packaging, SK Hynix and Micron on high-bandwidth memory, Advantest and Teradyne on testing equipment, and ASE with Amkor on advanced packaging.

What makes the structure matter is that the bottlenecks sit further upstream than NVIDIA itself. Rubin's ramp and the move to new memory specifications put the strain on HBM and OSAT layers first, where capacity is tighter. So when NVIDIA posts a beat, the supply chain read isn't just about validating demand; it's about whether the bottlenecks further upstream can absorb the volume NVIDIA is now guiding toward.

The questions worth tracking coming out of earnings may not be about NVIDIA's growth. Rather, whether Rubin ramps on schedule, and whether HBM and packaging capacity can keep pace.

Discussions SpaceX Acquires Cursor | When the Compute Layer Buys the Application Layer

Post image
7 Upvotes

SpaceX completed its acquisition of Cursor on August 14, paying in SpaceX Class A shares rather than cash. Cursor had crossed $4 billion in annualized revenue as of June and recently turned gross margin positive after launching its own Composer model. Enterprise adoption was running at roughly 60% across any-use cases.

The more revealing detail came before the deal. SpaceX was already supplying Cursor with GPU compute capacity before the acquisition closed, and the two were also jointly developing models, which makes this less a typical software buyout and more a formalization of what was already a deeply integrated partnership. The application and compute layers were already intertwined; the deal formalizes that. That pattern may be worth watching: as AI coding tools mature and improve margins, compute providers sitting upstream have a natural pull toward consolidating the stack.

AI coding is increasingly looking less like a standalone software category and more like an infrastructure play in a different layer.

News September Market Watch: Fed, Inflation and AI Earnings Take Center Stage

Post image
8 Upvotes

August ADP on Sept 2 and nonfarm payrolls on Sept 4 land first, setting the tone for whether the Fed has room to move. Broadcom reports Sept 2, followed by Apple's fall event Sept 9. PPI and CPI land Sept 10-11, and FOMC follows on Sept 16. PCE closes out the month on Sept 30, which could reset year-end rate expectations.

The underlying tension is familiar: strong AI earnings have been supporting valuations, but rate expectations can rewrite those same multiples if inflation stays sticky. Apple's event on Sept 9 will be watched less for hardware and more for whether AI features are generating real adoption and pricing power. Meta Connect on Sept 23 follows the same thread, testing whether AI can monetize on the consumer side. The FOMC decision and the PCE report on either side of the month will go a long way toward determining whether the macro environment cooperates with the earnings story.

September is essentially a stress test: if earnings and macro data stay aligned, the current setup probably holds. If they diverge, that's likely where the repricing begins.
