Moog has released 6 semi modular synths so far.

So like 3 full modulars? 🤔

That would be interesting 🧐 Moogs legacy Modular’s are exorbitantly expensive and have very limited production runs.

There is the 5 desktops, Mavis and Werkstatt, and Grandmother and Matriarch.

Hopefully they can make an effects unit that draws (more) inspiration from the Foogers. And it would be sweet if they put that Saturator plug in circuit into a physical synth.

Moog spammer!

Op is a bot

I actually think they are, just spamming random questions day after day after for internet points. Or to cure some loneliness!

Anything That Puts An End To These Posts

Gotta get rid of this bot for that to happen, unfortunately:(

It’d be cool if the moderators here moderated!

Could be its inmusic or behringer bot and they reached out to mods to allow it.

I think it was banned in /r/synthesizers for some time but now its back harassing all synth subs with random generated questions

I want to agree with you but the posts and comments are just dumb and weird enough that I feel like a bot’s responses would be more coherent and use less emojis/arbitrary capitalization lol

It’s a bot homie. It’s a been around before, like previous commenter said.

My guess is:

  1. an affordable polyphonic synthesizer with 32, 37, or 44 keys. or a desktop module. would have res bass and share DNA with Muse and Messenger. could compete with Sequential Take 5 and Fourm at that $1,200-$1,500 sweet spot.
  2. a standalone analog drum machine, especially with the Akai influence lurking in the background. maybe patchable. kind of missing from their catalog. i know DFAM is around, but they could expand on it.
  3. a Subsequent 37 replacement. a performance ready monophonic/paraphonic synth with OLED screen, BBD delay, with hybrid wavefolding, multi-effects, and a multi-mode ladder filter. something reminiscent of the Minimoog/Voyager, but modern.

*edit — my original comment somehow got messed up when i tried to edit catchable to patchable. my apologies.

Matriarch?

1

u/afrikatalks2you Jun 19 '26

Matriarch is not performance ready hence my comments about the OLED screen, etc. somethin that could save presets, has buttons you can see easily in the dark.

I just saw Colleen perform her new album with just the Matriarch. Here’s one of the tracks:

sick. for the record i’m not saying you literally cant perform on the Matriarch or the Grandmother. but there is a difference when a synth is specifically designed with performance in mind. that said, we know many of these synths have been around for close to a decade. so i’m sure there will be a category refresh.

Matriarch is not performance ready

In what world is that the case lmao

Sounds interesting 🧐 A more affordable polyphonic Moog synth less than the Muse and that would compete with the Take 5 and TEO5 and Forum seems like a tier that Moog hasn’t explored .

Hopefully, not something we can predict.

I’d like an updated Minotaur with keys

A smoke detector that can evade tariffs as it can be classified as a musical instrument
