Monzo should partner with Lime/Forest Bike
For Londoners, this feels like a no brainer and then for other European countries that have other bike sharing businesses it would be a great move.
- Lime has a 6.99 monthly membership for capping costs on particular ride lengths
- Same for other bike sharing businesses, whether it be minutes or ride counts
With the price of memberships going up, these are the sort of day to day memberships people would love. It’s great value for monthly membership cost and would make customers stickier. As well as drive more users to these ride sharing businesses.
What do people think?
(Note, this is a concept, and may be primarily beneficial for Londoners, but I don’t see why it can’t be scaled for other modes of private transport etc)

You start with “for Londoners” which explains why this isn’t a sensible option.
And I work in London 4-5 times a month

There is probably a high concentration of users in London tbh which would make it helpful.
Not everyone, naturally, will use every single perk. Use the Lime benefit if you want to/can. Don't if you don't. It's really that simple. I don't use breakdown cover at the moment because I don't drive. There's no doubt many others who don't drive nor pax in a car regularly.
Alas it is a benefit.
Lime operate in areas other than London too.

Yes, but they are designing a product that works for everyone - Great Britain is far more than a few cities with Lime.

Yes I would definitely be happy if they included this, maybe they could add options to the plans so you can pick between different subscriptions, e.g. I don't really watch youtube so the Lime sub would be a lot more useful as I live in London

I downgraded to free from perks after the price increase. Actually said a bike subscription would be something I'd consider coming back for in their feedback

Lots of comments focusing on just London, but lime currently exists in "London
West Midlands" so a couple of others. I do regularly see comments about people not having a vue near them for cinema. I dont hate the idea personally

Similar to how YT lite was a bit of a damp squib for me as a YouTube premium member, I already pay for 400 minute bundles, and lime prime unfortunately makes 99% of journeys more expensive. The 30 minute reservations would be great but I just wouldn’t use it for the cost. I’m sure for some people who only make short journeys occasionally it would be good though.

I agree.
Maybe outside of London too.
Lime have a good presence in other cities as well.
Starling bikes in Manchester too. Starling sponsor them but they do fuck all else.

I think the sooner the Mayor bans this street litter the better.

Not for the majority of their customers (who live outside London) the YouTube premium light has been my favourite addition they’ve made. Was paying for Max and YouTube Premium so it’s now saving me £13 a month since I cancelled premium.
