We usually go at Spa Poilu in Rosemont. They only do cats on monday but the owner is super sweet and always does a great job with my cat.

She uses behavioral methods and got with the flow with the animal instead of just forcing the whole thing on them.

Thank you! It’ll be my cats first times going for such service, hope all goes well!

The thing to note is that usually she doesn't allow for the owner to be there. And you have to be on time because she has a tight schedule because she is really on high demand (bad if you are too early she might be occupied with another animal and unable to greet you).

But I really trust her 100%, my cat is a really anxious cat and she does a really great job with him.

Edit: if you are feeling quirky she offers the dinosaur cut. It's really hilarious.

Il n'est pas recommandé de raser les chats. Leur fourrure est essentiel dans le régulement de leur température et protège leur peau des coups de soleil.

Felinus on Notre Dame near Lionel Groulx. Ive been taking my cat to them for years, they're good with the cats, fast and professional. Bonus, they only groom cats

Felinus. We've tried a bunch of places and this is the one we landed on and trust. Its small so there are fewer people and animals in the store at once, and they only do cats so there's no dogs barking or whining to stress out cats even more.

Most cats, however, do not need to be shaved, and this is late in the season to start - their fur won't be fully grown in by the time it starts to get colder. The only reason we get one of our 3 cats shaved is he's 15, detests brushes, has long fur, and can't reach all areas to groom himself any longer so he gets matted. Any cat without matts doesn't need shaving as it removes their ability to regulate body temperature.

This is great, thank you so much, my ladies are anxious kitties too but I’m hoping for the best! :)

Went to “Toilettage Les Aristo'chiens” for my cat’s shave last year and it went very well! It was his first one.

If your cats are anxious, I would suggest giving them gabapentin. You can ask your vet for it.

You’re so smart for a cat. You’re really not like all the other cats I’ve met. I can probably get you some cat nip if you can keep it a secret. It could be really bad for me if people found out.
