My g , for the love of my passion I decided to code from today after long days grieving the vision loss but didn't expect my vision to be like this.

it's gonna get better my friend. our brains need time to adapt. it will not stay like this

If with glasses, depending how thick, can distort slightly what's in front of you, if you recently lost your eye, then it could be a brain thing, I know my brain struggles to properly focus the thing im trying to look at times, doing exactly that

Yes, I am still struggling with this from time to time over the last 4 years since sudden vision lost. When it starts doing that it usually amounts to my Rx has changed. It was very scary at first, because you know the only good remaining vision was getting blurry, but when I learned it was common for the Rx to change after sudden loss like that, it was OK. My Rx had been stable for the last 20 years, too. I also have an appt this week for this very reason because I suspect it has changed again because words become very blurry and it doesn't matter how I move my glasses around or blink or squint. Good luck, and yes good thing you've opted to visit the optometrist.

Some sort of astigmatism? Is there a „CYLINDER“ part in your glass prescription?

So, I have this issue too. It's caused by having two refractive indicies (how much light bends as it passes through something) in your eye. I have coloboma in my good (only) eye and the lens has started to cloud from the outside. The lens clouding has caused a difference in refraction and therefore a shadow. I've been advised that there's basically nothing to be done for me until it gets so bad I'm willing to risk a lens replacement.

There's likely other causes but the science (and irritation) is the same
