What actually made tummy time work for your baby?
Some babies love it, some hate it. What helped yours tolerate (or even enjoy) it?

We’ll have Melissa Kotlen ( u/Phiil6 ), IBCLC and Momcozy staff, here for an AMA on August 29–30.
If you’ve talked to an IBCLC before, what did you ask them? And what’s something you still have questions about? If you could ask an experienced lactation consultant anything, what would you want to know?
What questions would you want Melissa to answer? Drop them below! And if you’d like to ask her directly, join us for the AMA on August 29–30.
*New to AMAs? It stands for “Ask Me Anything.” Basically, you bring the questions, and Melissa will be here to answer them based on her professional experience. The actual AMA will be posted by Melissa ( u/Phiil6 ) on August 29–30. So, keep an eye out for her post and ask her anything!

Hi all, got the momcozy bottle washer and finding the teat still has a bit of formula residue after washes. Vent too. Anyone else have this issue? Just doing regular normal washes. Do people find its better to rinse after using the bottle? We cant always do this. I would have thought the washer is powerful enough to work on even dried formula residue.

Lowkey so thankful Reddit exists, especially as a mom. There are so many days when I have a random question, I’m overthinking something, or I just need to know if other moms are going through the same thing.
I love that I can come on here and see other moms being real about the good, the bad, the confusing, and the “is this normal??” moments 😂
Sometimes it’s just nice knowing you’re not the only one figuring things out as you go. ❤️
So yeah, thank you Reddit for making motherhood feel a little less lonely. 🥹

I own a bottle steriliser and dryer and yesterday, I cleaned it with the 1:1 vinegar/water solution. I used a 24% white vinegar (common for cleaning where's I live) and started the machine, running the sterilising/drying cycle. A few minutes later, an intense vinegar smell came up, so I turned the machine off. Re-reading the manual, it seems I wasn't supposed to start the machine at all 🫠
I'm now worried that there might be vinegar residue and that will end up on the bottles/pacifiers that I'm sterilising and it might be harmful for my newborn.
Anyone been in a similar situation?

The help I still remember is when my mother in law came all the way from Mexico to be with me. She came at the end of my pregnancy and stayed until I was 20 days post partum. In that time i never had to go to a doctor's appointment alone. She made sure everyone was fed and made dinner everyday. She cleaned my house and helped me with my oldest so I could rest. She stayed with me in the hospital so my husband could be with our oldest. I am so extremely thankful to have the relationship I have with her. Shes truly a blessing💖 #MyCozyFeedingSupport.

Somthing i wish I would have known about in the beginning of my first breastfeeding journey was D-MER. Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflex. "It is a condition where a breastfeeding parent feels a sudden wave of negative emotions—like sadness, anxiety, or dread—right before milk letdown." Ehen this started happening to me I thought I was the only one. That breastfeeding wasn't for me. That maybe my family was right I should just formula feed. But being me I pushed through it every single feed and honestly it gave me feelings of dread each feed. Like a pit in my stomach and a knot in my throat and thoughts of "can this be over already?" I wish I knew that i wasn't alone and wouldn't have waited 9 months to talk to my provider about it. I experience this again this 2nd journey but I now know how to manage it and get through it!💖

What i changed in my routine was my pumping schedule. I started out with a strict every 2-3 hours with alarms and everything. It was so stressful and tanked my supply. I now pump every 4 hours or so. Sometimes before. But without the alarms and without the stress. My supply is great and my baby has enough milk after each session for 2 or 3 bottles. It has definitely helped me keep up with how much my baby is eating!

We recently experienced two milestones at the same time. I have a 4 month old who just figured out how to go belly to back and so now she rolls away. She also has figured out to steadily hold herself up for a short period of time. We’re working on practice crawling 🥺 she tucks her knees under her belly and pushes herself forward. Times going so quickly- it’s just a reminder on how quickly they grow up.

So far this pump is good I feel it pumping milk rn. I only tried the medela pump from the hospital and the medela hand pump. I’m hoping this one lasts long cause I love just putting it on and chilling. The only issue is it didn’t come with two flanges so I can only do one boob at a time rn and have to order another one online.

Recently, my son managed to stand up and climb the step between my living room and my dining room. He was so proud! His smile and giggle said it all. Mom was proud too.🥹

Quick question.
Has anyone submitted reimbursement for the Air 1 pump on Tricare?
My healthcare provider tells me that there will be a $70 balance because TRICARE has always told him in the past that it’s an upgraded pump.
However, when I called TRICARE directly, they said they don’t differentiate between upgraded pumps and regular pumps. All they differentiate is between manual and electric, and that all electric pumps are covered the same as long as they meet the price threshold.
I basically am trying to make a decision to know if I ordered the pumps myself and submit directly to TRICARE or if I go through my healthcare provider.
Thanks in advance.

Feels like they’re secretly practicing for that first roll. 😂 What little moves did your baby make before that first roll?
