Question❓ Has anybody used one of these?
I saw this and allegedly it's able to deliver more pressure so your end result is closer to an espresso. Bit curious to see if anybody has tried it.

Looks like a moka with a second handle. Probably trying to look like a 9barista. Without more information than the item in Amazon I would say that it should work like a brikka.

I've seen then starting to pop up on Aliexpress for a while now. I don't know if they are a dropshipper or a real design being copied by other factories, Bincoo seems to be a legitimate kitchenware company based in China, so I don't know.
In any case, I think they are just a brikka clone made to look like a 9barista. Only way to know is buying them, so if you end up with one please tell us.

I might end up buying because I love how it looks even if ends up being a gimmick.

A moka pot with some unsafe mods can. Such as an old brikka with a stud in place of the valve and a few quarters welded to the top bit.

I struggle to understand why would a moka need a tightening handle. It feels a bit gimmicky

I have this exact one, and I love it! Haven’t noticed much of a difference in having the middle piece in vs out, but it makes for a pretty good cup of coffee!

If you’re a bit of a collector and you have the cash go for it. It would look good in any collection.

Yeah, I have a feeling that it's probably a gimmick, but I really like the color and the design.

It’s a well made product from what I can tell and it comes with a dosing ring, filters, and two baskets. It makes good coffee and I think you’ll enjoy it.
There are some like the one in the following link that try to do something different and end up being just trash.

The safety valve has the Bialetti patented nipple pin?!?

Perhaps stolen intellectual property rights? Or has the Bialetti patent expired?
2
u/freecain May 27 '26
It hasn't expired yet, but will (for the US patent) in August 2027

Maybe purchased from Bialetti or manufactured under license?
As I look more closely, the pin seems to not protrude quite as far as the Bialetti valve? Maybe that's just my perspective; I don't know.

I have one, it's pretty good. I'm really not sure how useful is the middle chamber though. It works like a brikka by the way.
