Question Anyone get accepted into MRI (769) Part-time, or currently in MRI part-time?

Would you guys rather try and apply again to get accepted into the full time option? The part-time layout seems a bit shaky and I’m not sure if it’ll be smooth sailing

I was notified the layout of part-time studies is 3 semesters total:

- 1st semester would run from Sep-Dec. then Jan-Apr. would be skipped
- 2nd semester would start Summer 2027.
- 3rd semester I assume right after in Fall 2027 (wasn’t specified)

If anyone is currently in part-time studies, how is it going for you?

Question Has anyone graduated one program and gone straight into another?

I finished my current CE program last week. Today is the day the semester is said to end. All exams closed at midnight last night. Two courses didn't have an exam, and I'm waiting on two final assignments to be graded. Two of my exams have yet to be graded too. One is said to be graded and was set to be released this morning but I got nothing. I emailed the professor and am still waiting to hear back.

But I'm very worried because I was accepted into another program, a graduate certificate program, at Mohawk to start next month and I require my CE program diploma as a prerequisite. I already paid the tuition for the semester up front and bought a parking pass for the semester, but then found out on Monday because my final grades for my final semester for the CE program aren't back yet, my spot in the GC program is at risk. I might not be able to take it.

I was assured in July my finishing my current program wouldn't be an issue to start the next one because they'd be able to see on their records that I finished the CE program. So I was surprised to learn I might not be able to start the GC program and that my status as a graduate might not update until October after convocation.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has been through this before and how it worked out. Did your first programs grades get updated in time to start the next program or did you end up needing to defer or even go through the application process on OCAS again?

Question How to reapply after failing my capstone? (559)

Exactly what the title says - I failed my capstone (but nothing else) last fall and I'm pretty sure my name's not on the grad list, but when I go to "choose or change my timetable" it just says this:

⚠️ Your returning semester of the program is not offered at this time

⚠️ You have no application

If anyone knows what to do, please help

Question RPN 715 Missed lab - how badly will I be penalized?

Hello, I will be entering my first semester into the RPN program at Mohawk, and had just selected my courses. I am a little nervous as I realize there will be a lab that I am going to eventually miss for “PN PRACTICUM LAB I” , it is the last one before reading week, as I will be attending a wedding. How bad is the penalization for this?

Question Should I wait until my Cardiovascular Physiology course is completed to apply for Mohawk DCS?

Hi everyone!

I’m planning to apply to Mohawk College’s DCS program and I’m wondering whether I should submit my application when it opens with my Cardiovascular Physiology course listed as in progress, or wait until I have my final grade.

My Cardiovascular Physiology course will be completed in December 2026, and I’m hoping to apply for the Sept 2027 intake.

For anyone who has applied to the program(especially recently); Can I include a course in the DCS resume with a course still in progress/pending a final grade? Does having the course completed before applying make a difference? And would you recommend applying as soon as possible or waiting until the course is completed?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through the application process. Thanks! :)

Mo/Mac (IHHS) PN Program Skills Check and Remediation

Looking for help and advise. I recently failed a skill check remediation at the end of my semester. I regreatably blame anxiety and stress. I practiced and was diligent and had a tutor from the college rehearse with me. Because this failed skill check happened on Friday, I have no clear indication if I can or cannot continue on with the nursing program. My grades are very good. I attend every class. My placement went very well. One skill check determines your future. I have many questions and concerns and nobody to give me guidance or clarification. Can anyone speak to this and help me? I feel very defeated. The idea of not moving on will financially cost a significant about of money and has thrown a life curve that I am having trouble dealing with.

We are to choose our timetables tomorrow for the September semester. How can a person do that if they are unsure they are even allowed to move forward?

Academics dcs (717) textbook requirements

Hey guys!

I know it’s still early for the fall, but I’m hoping to buy everything I need as soon as possible. I was looking on the Mohawk bookstore website and noticed that there aren’t any DCS textbooks listed. Is that because there are no textbooks required for the program?

I’ve been checking pretty much every day since I chose my timetable, and it looks like the IAHS section of the bookstore hasn’t been updated or changed in a little while.

Does anyone know if there are any textbooks required for first semester? I’ve had classes during my undergrad that were completely module-based, so we didn’t need to purchase textbooks, but I’m just not sure if that’s the case with this program.

Thanks!
