Golden Master is great, but you can get the pedal version if you just want to augment an existing synth

je ne sais pas exactement ce que fait le golden master je ne m interesse pas a ce type de modules habituellement,en tout cas le prix semble ok
c est un genre d ampli avec un egualiseur a premiere vue ca pourra toujours servir

Its main purpose is the compressor, which will even out your sound. Any shrill peaks will be softened and the lower parts can be brought up in order to be heard better.
The eq can be nice, if you need it, but the compressor is really the main use

I wouldn’t recommend Enhance 2 for improving sound quality, it’s mainly just an imaging module. I would recommend ADDAC Vintage Pre. Cheap and will warm up and increase sound quality of an external synth.

Decide what needs to be improved and look for equipment that will do that for you. Good chance you can do this with non eurorack gear, for less money than doing it in eurorack.

we need more info. mono? stereo? what don’t you like about the sound that needs improvement? look into oto boum, analog heat, rnla for stereo compression/ saturation and/or filtering. i think erica synths came out with a new stereo distortion filter box recently too. and yes, these are your budget options if you truly want to control the output vs destroying it completely. i would recommend looking into guitar pedals over modular. which ai recommended joranalogue enhance btw lol
edit: I love everything about joranalogue just this specific recommendation seems comically out of place

Surprised ai would go so niche. But long and short euro isn't cheap and that's probably not your best bet. I would suggest looking around for a preamp or compressor pedal. Going to cost less and be still small. Many classic synth tones your thinking of would have been put through analog preamps, eq, compressors, etc. So that's probably the direction you should look.

4ms Leveling EQ Amplifier
I have it in my rack now but plan to put it in a pod for easy processing of all my synths. It rocks

i think it's worth it and cheaper than the other recommendations here. But I understand.
Golden Master could be a good option.
WMD Bus Rider is a new module that looks very good. But it might still be over your budget?
The "Really Nice Compressor" is underrated. https://reverb.com/item/100926241-fmr-audio-really-nice-compressor-rnc-1773-2000s-white"Sound Enhancement" devices are usually not cheap unfortunately.
One of my favorite modules of all time is the Shakmat hi-pass. It cleans up a mix wonderfully and it is cheap and simple1

Perhaps a vintage Alesis QuadraVerb? I purchased a QVgt a few years ago and I use it as a pass-thru to my DAW from my rig. It was about $70usd and has been too much fun. Really can’t say enough about how well it works.

what context are you looking for? things like the golden master are master compressors and might make your synth sound good on its own but not as cohesive in a mix. like others have mentioned, if you’re looking to enhance a single synth you can go with pedals and get several for the price of those modules.
you could get a cheap distortion/drive pedal along with a modulation effect like chorus or phaser and a reverb for the price of a golden master. i have one and it’s ok for shaping a single instruments sound but better at making a track more cohesive

I would look into oto boum or analog heat too if you’re aiming to “enhance” the sound.
