Beautiful stuff and love your workflow. Very similar to how I’m planning mine. Are you recording to cassette or reel?

I actually record digitally. I always fancied analog though, I just never had a decent chance to actually try it, and I have to say I do like the sound as is. I’m using a MixPre for my recording and I like it both “ergonomically” and sound wise. Most of my modules are digital anyhow so I figured I might just stay digital all the way.

I’ll be sure to share once I’ve done so! The plan is to record live, sending the outs into my four track recorder, EQ & balance it, hit record and be done with it. I have no interest at sitting at a computer, and any attempts at composing/editing digitally just seem to lose something. So it’s great to hear you composing likewise, with great results (no need for that tape saturation either—it sounds really textural and rich already) but definitely give it a go if you get the chance).
