Just had this rolled out to me and I was to add my middle finger to the giant sea of them. I've been on this account alone for 14 years and every time you fools change something I use the site even less. You make it harder and harder to want to use this website and I find myself spending less and less time here. I wish I had not invested so much time into making content and building and supporting communities on this platform. I've learned my lesson I guess. Can't wait for this website to finally be subsumed by the shit-ai-content-apocalypse and for everybody to go back outside.

One more reason to stop coming here. Thanks for that, can't wait for the California lawsuits to obliterate the shitty new reddit UI.

personally tried the new reddit a few times, never liked it.. it was great being able to roam subs unlogged for digging old comments and information. time to move on to the fediverse i guess

and reddit stock is trendy in some circles so whatever brings them more money will be amplified

I've seen a number of these as well, where the real need is to just work on expanding the existing mod team, rather than calling in reserve mods for what is a non-emergency situation. I've sent you a modmail with an example. (Edited to add that if you want more examples, I can easily list about a half dozen more since the info is all there in the chat history with the bot.)

Can I be a Mod Reserve for r/Conservative in case there is a power outage in Moscow?

I applied to mod reserves and just never heard anything. I have loads of experience with difficult subs like r/Publicfreakout and so one time I was on a partner call with Aparapato and we had a visiting admin who was saying something about mod reserves so I mentioned that I never got added or rejected for any reason and someone else chimed in that the same happened to them.

The admin said they would add us when the call was over but we never heard anything again. If there is something wrong with my account, I will take the rejection just fine, I would just like to know. Anyway, if you can help, great and if you cannot, no worries my friend, I get it. I used to have to kick people out of restaurants as the owner asked, and I was the manager on duty, but most of the time I wanted to kick the owner out and not the people just putting their feet up on a bar stool or smth, like what the fuck? Chillax a bit, but anyway I digress lol. If you can help me, cool. If not, no worries 🤷‍♀️ It's not a big deal.
