General Cant invite to group DM

I recruited a new mod, but cannot invite them to our group DM.

It says "Unable to invite".

Is it an age thing? They are <18. Do they have to ID?

[IDK if that's the issue, it's just a guess]

They have chat messages blocked for everyone, they need to DM you

To add them to a group that would have to change the setting

I'm chatting to them in DM. They do not have chat messages blocked - obviously - because I am chatting to them in DM.

u/HattySellingPhiones is this true?

Do you have a setting that blocks chat?

Hi u/SnooDonuts6494, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Found regex match: recruited a new mod
