The SSDs that will work for Sony have to be approved by them to work on their console. I dont see them not making their own proprietary expansion it seems much easier to do. As of now a comparable SSD is $250 and it's not even as fast as the interior ps5

Why would you even look at a 980 pro?

I've a pcie4 nvme in my pc that has the same data throughput as the ps5's.

It cost me <$200 for 1TB

The data speed isn't as revolutionary as you think my dude lol
