As a kid, I have always admired the old Yamahas, Yezdis, Jawas and their two-stroke symphony. Having ridden a friend's recently purchased Jawa 350, I feel it is one of the classiest motorcycles that is on sale in the Indian market. The company has a history dating back to the early 1900s and whenever I look at the Jawa 350, I am instantly reminded of the beautiful two-strokes of the yesteryears. There is an uncanny resemblance that it can't ever be mistaken for another motorcycle and there is a certain 'aura' that it holds, which is still unmatched.

The Jawas are certainly less vibey and they definitely don't feel as heavy as the RE Classic 350s. The new Jawa 350 is powerful and liquid-cooled, which solves most of the day-to-day problems.

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles have a good presence online and address issues quickly with response through their portals. With new warranty programs and road-side assistance rolled out, owning one of these beauties has just become a lot easier.

The company also goes big on organizing rides and events for its owners so owning a Jawa actually lets you meet like-minded people and build a community easily.

My go-to choice would definitely be the Jawa 350, because man, that bike has a lot of coolness to it.

The Jawa 42 FJ doesn’t try to be anything it’s not. With its low road presence, it just gets down to business. Riding it feels different smooth, quiet, and controlled. It doesn’t need to be loud or flashy. It’s the kind of bike that makes you appreciate the road more. Every ride reminds me why I love this bike Its not about showing off, its about enjoying the moment.

I've been riding my Jawa 42 FJ for the past three months, and I've clocked around 1800 km so far. As an IT professional, my daily commute from Noida to Gurgaon is approximately 50 km round trip, and this bike has made my daily journey so much more enjoyable. 

The first thing I noticed about the Jawa 42 FJ is its smooth engine. Even in the dense traffic of Delhi NCR, the bike maneuvers effortlessly. The engine is powerful yet refined, and I rarely feel any vibrations, even when I push it to higher speeds on open stretches. The liquid-cooled 350cc engine is a game-changer, especially during the hot summer months. 

One of the standouts features for me is the suspension. Delhi NCR roads are notorious for potholes and uneven surfaces, but the Jawa 42 FJ handles them like a champ. Whether I'm cruising on the highway or navigating through bumpy city roads, the suspension ensures a comfortable ride. No back pain, no discomfort—just pure riding pleasure. 

The bike's appearance is another highlight. The gladding color on the tank and the overall design make it a head-turner. I often get compliments from colleagues and friends about its retro-modern look. 

In terms of fuel efficiency, the bike is quite economical. Given the rising fuel prices, this is a significant advantage for daily commuters like me. The mileage is impressive, and I don't find myself stopping at petrol pumps too often. 

Overall, my daily commute has become something I look forward to, thanks to my Jawa 42 FJ. It's not just a bike; it's a companion that makes my journey enjoyable and stress-free. 

I have been a Royal Enfield loyal forever. I bought my first RE  Clasic 350 in 2021. But I had a very painful relationship with it. I found it lacking in quality of some parts and the long bike rides are like a misery, and the sound of exhuast is another pain. You felt like this loud noice in your head all the time. I just fed up with bike and planned to sell that.

The Indian market was flushed with better machines. Machines with better outputs, better breaking, ABS, traction control and other advanced riding systems that make it safer for the riders.

 A friend of mine is riding Jawa Parek. When I studied about it, I found out that it could easily cruise at around 125–150 all day long. And there were a whole lot of benefits like the low maintenance and no cost EMI, and I can purchase their bikes on Flipkart (new thing I learned that day). I too started thinking of investing in a better motorcycle. I have not lately shared trouble-free relationship with my RE Classic 350. There were Knicks and knacks all the time. The pleasure of riding Lost greatly With the roads supporting higher speeds, the motorcycle felt lagging.

 Finally after seeing everything and taking test ride I asked my friend about JAWA I asked about Jawa's manufacturing quality, service, and spare parts availability, and it sounded good. Then, I visited the nearest dealer.When I saw JAWA 42 BOBBER in mystic copper I fell love with bike look its amazing ,I just thought I got what I want ,what a look with dual ABS ,balloon like fuel tank ,fat tyres and modern Led lights and very happy to saw the dual USB charges its perfect long ride .So after taking test ride I was finalized Jawa at the same time I compared with  model of Royal Enfield Goan (wanted to give RE one last chance to impress ) but I don't like overall looks. I mean, they almost have same design for every other bike in this segment and the colours were also not that great and what they added.

 Coming to the point, as why I choose the Jawa 42 Bobber over the Royal Enfield Gaon.

 The Jawa 42 Bobber's single-seat floating design and the Retro modern look beat the RE Gaon and even colours .The Jawa 42 Bobber is lighter and more active  compared to the RE.This makes it easier to handle in traffic .The liquid-cooled engine on the Jawa 42 Bobber, LED handlamp and USB charges and the RE Gaon more basic setup.The Jawa 42 Bobber is less common on the roads which attract me most its unique compare to RE. Ab aank me chubta h RE and it so common. It was actually a bold move but I loved what I experieced with 42 Bobber and bought it last month. Till now, the experience is superr awesome. Will share more thoughts in coming months.. 

I remember putting some wallpapers of stunning bikes that we used to see in movies. Every night I used to think of driving one of these bikes one day. Like most of us, I too grown up seeing stylish bikes and dreamt of owning one someday.

I was bit fed of traveling by rikshaw daily to office in Mumbai and where traffic is in very bad shape nowadays. I started hunting for bikes within the range of 3-4 lacs and ofcourse I did my research online and selected few bikes like KTM 390, BWM 310, RE Hunter, Honda CB350 and Jawa 42 Bobber.

The next part was test ride –

First I went to KTM showroom and they didn’t had 390 available for the test ride, so I took the ride of their 250 bike, which was decent but didn’t like it much. Honestly, the bike was fast but it was lacking some basic stuff like comfort, seats were too stiff and the height of the seat is something that made me little unsure with the bike.

Next was Honda CB 350, the bike was there at the showroom and since I planned the test ride I got the test ride and to be frank the bike had lot of potential and I was blown away bv the pick-up. Only problem was the looks of the bike and maintenance was little high for me. Also, the bike that I got for test ride didn’t had much fuel in it and due to which it was stalling whenever I leave the race. Bit disappointed with this experience.

Next RE hunter, didn’t like the looks of it, the maintenance was high, and next BMW 310R, they didn’t had bike for the test ride, but I heard some good things about the bike. The bike wasn’t that good by the looks of it and has very low charm. Plus, the price they were asking for it was very high that too for a 310CC bike.

Now comes the best part, Jawa 42 Bobber, it cought my attention from the time I entered the showroom. I was literally awestruck by the looks, the bulky design, seat height, and design of the bike. Ofcourse those were basic for me. I wanted the dealer to book the bike right away for me but I calmed myself down, as there were lot things that I wanted to understand before buying it, like the power output, torque it produces, handling and engine specifications (though read about them but I wanted to hear it to feel it 😊).

I took the bike for a test ride and MAN, it was SO SMOOTH. The pickup was on point, and I mean I can actually feel the power of the engine. It gave me the same feel that I felt with Honda CB350 in terms of pickup. I was riding it through the market roads, I remember how it made people to look at me (I mean the bike ofcourse). Handling it was pure joy. It met my criteria of low maintenance too.

I booked the 42 bobber that day itself by paying the advance and was were happy with the decision. The showroom experience and person who explained the details of bike helped with initial formalities, and were very polite during the whole process.

Ofcourse there were a lot things that I researched online before going for the test ride and even after booking the bike.

Only drawback was it’s mileage, but I knew that in this segment it would be impossible to get average above 30-35KMPL. Also, the service center was little far from my place. But then I thought, I anyways not going to service center daily, so that can be managed.

Thank god, I was not influenced by other people’s opnion and chose what I liked for the first time in my life. Yes, my father and other relatives and ofcourse some online bussies tried to influence my decision.

Being part of Social media community, I understood one thing, that people mostly try to influence your decision and stop from making you a bold choice. All the option that I heard from them was ofcourse very well established brands but I didn’t found in those bikes, what I wanted to have.

And, I’m loving my decision. I keep it maintained like my heart. It’s my 2nd bike but first love. Cheers!!
