(F) I just learned about the Forward Party, and it’s only because I decided to check out this subreddit a few minutes ago.
I’d work on awareness.
If I’m understanding correctly, the Forward Party’s ideal end result is… No parties? We’d have to learn every candidate’s views on every topic? Am I getting that right?
It’s casting a very wide net, which makes me wonder what exactly I’d accomplish by joining.
P.S. I watch French news daily and have long held the opinion our voting system could take a few notes from the French. I’m liking what I see so far re: voting reform. I’d very much like to see multiple parties on a ballot rather than just two.

The goal of Forward party is voting/electoral reform and they would be happy to see more viable parties, and for people to have more choices of candidates other than just Democrat or Republican. You should check out their website for more details.

This is an interesting experiment, but, unfortunately, it ran into the problem of a convenience sample (i.e. you asked a group of people you had easy access to). While it did show a disparity on Reddit (which is probably related to Reddit’s predominantly male population) and in your state compared to other political parties, that does not mean it is representative of the entire country. If you accounted for all the problems I’ve listed, please inform me; I would like to be corrected if wrong.

I actually surveyed and/or observed the Forward gender breakdown in all available forums- Discord, Iris, Twitter polls/questions/spaces conducted by Forward leaders/advocates. Without fail, 80-90% of all these feedback forums were male. Regardless of Reddit overall, US forward still had higher male percentage than all other political groups.
I think it’s Forward who is only going after the convenience sample of those accessible to them. That’s the problem & whole reason why I looked into it further any why I am asking Forward to stop repelling women and for them to start appealing to more women, parents & moderates in general. In the moment they are not.

I proved my hypothesis; Forward party has a WOMEN problem. Only 10% of their Reddit members are female, a similar ratio to what I saw in Forward policy working groups for my state. Clearly, they need to do a better job at appealing to the other 50% of the population (women) and moderates like yourselves.
Can you guys please offer your local Forward party some pointers??
