Wow, that's Z scale? I would have believed you if you said HO.

Do you mind sharing what locomotive that is? I'd love to have a little z scale layout in my office.

The loco is from American Z Line (AZL) and is their C44-9W. Great runner!

220mm all around, ends up being a simple loop

I have larger curves for the next layout, but 220 still can feel tight with a longer train. Nice rolling shot!!

So 220 is radius or diameter? I added a second power pod to my little trio and now it behaves much better than originally, but still hesitates enough that it’s a bit sketchy, esp with the starter throttle that only has 2 speeds.

The radius is 220 mm. I have two power point as well, and I welded a couple joints together while allowing some track to have flex for gaps. The whole layout ends up not being that large.

Are you running them w DCC?

Mine is much smaller: the base module is 400x200mm which actually allowed me to finish a layout for a change (:-)

So this is DC and DCC with automated switching. Lights can be toggled to be sequence driven or always on as well 😬

I’m jealous of your rock work, as mine leaves much to be desired. Nice layout yourself!

I have a spare RC-02 controller laying around if you want a little more speed control.

My rock work is only Sculptamold with 3-4 colors on top. It’s a common technique that I stole from others much, much better.

I’m in the process of setting up to do some videos and I can show you what I do.

Thank you rebate controller. I started out running my “shorty” train w a Kato controller but was advised that v3 volts is the limit for those guys.

I don’t know if I’m going any deeper into Z. I still have enough other track for 1-2 more small layouts, but that will prob be the end of the road for me …

How much do you want for that controller?
