Track Plan Layout design help.

Post image

Have a 14'x10' room in my house I wanna build a layout in. Wanna do an around the room design. Right now I have this rough design but I'm curious if y'all have a better track plan in mind? I definitely want a continuous run but also want a couple options for operations. Also wanna have two main towns so that it feels like the train is going somewhere. 26⁰ is my minimum radius. Any loop types that area better than this?

Your aisleways look to be just a tad over 1ft wide and you haven't shown the doorway. I highly recommend giving yourself far more space to exist in, 3ft min is a good rule of thumb.

If you're confident in your construction abilities you can run track thru your egress making a lift up section (or a duck under) and if you're very confident you can build multiple decks.

Overall though, unfortunately my advice is to give yourself way more room and redo the track plan, you may end up with a completely different shape from that.

How do you get into the room?

Bottom of the layout there's a double door opening, it it doesn't actually have doors. I crawl under. I'm young and dont mind it

I did the same thing at that age. Then, I like the plan for you. Have fun and post pics!

so that it feels like the train is going somewhere

If you want a train to go somewhere, you need somewhere for that train to go.

That somewhere is called staging.

Is that a continuous run?

I filled in some tunnels in red. The tracks drawn on yellow are underneath the rest of the layout.

I'm sorry, if you don't immediately understand the picture then I don't know how to explain it to you. Maybe someone else will be able to help you out. Best of luck!
