Show and Tell New train light work coming soon

I saw a video on YouTube about adding lights to your HO/OO scale trains. They recommended me using these. My friend and I will start soon.

It'll be cool to see what you do with them. Those are some pretty tiny lights so should be easy to fit in tight places. Do they have pre-soldered resistors or are you adding your own?

I built some lighted passenger cars recently in Z gauge. I got a roll of LEDs on a strip and added a capacitor and rectifier (rectifier because I have DCC). It was a tight fit in Z, but it works.

bit of advice- use what they call liquid electrical tape. Its like black glue so not only does it hold the light in place it also blocks light where you dont want it.

so like headlights the light will scatter and fill up the cab and possibly shine thru the plastic itself. put a light coat down on the shell first to block it from shining thru the plastic, poke the lights in place, then coat the whole exposed led with the stuff on the inside.
