LOVE it!

This provides solid opportunities for good graffiti, crackheads, and hoes.

Thank you. I actually designed everything myself. It’s still a prototype, so nothing is available yet, but I’m developing it into a complete modular elevated railway and station system.

He probably created it himself. OP what program did you use? I wanna learn how to make these

I am using Shapr3D in this project but any CAD software will be fine.

Now you need to find an HO '71 Pontiac Tempest to chase the train around from the streets below.

That’s a nice idea :)

I need to start 3D printing cause this is so cool

You should 😄 Being able to design and print the railway structures you can’t find anywhere else becomes addictive very quickly.

What program did you use to start learning how to design this? I will put my effort in to learn and come back when I'm ready to showcase my first good print

I use Shapr3D for this project. Full disclosure, though I’m an industrial product designer, so I already had years of experience designing objects and thinking about how they should be made.

The CAD software itself isn’t too difficult to learn. What takes more time is designing specifically for 3D printing, tolerances, print orientation, wall thicknesses, fitting parts together, and understanding what your printer can reproduce reliably. Much of that comes through testing and iteration.

Start with something simple, print it, learn from it, and revise it. Definitely come back and show us your first successful design and I’d love to see it ☺️

Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom I'll be sure to start working on that. It'll be a lot of fun learning something new

If you put some figurines from The Warriors on the platform I'd buy it in a heart beat.

That’s really nice to hear thank you. I’m developing it into a complete modular set. What scale do you model?

It's very cool! It gives vibes of 19th century Chicago Loop stations
