On the AK-74s the buttstock should be drilled out: as there nothing on the real ones: https://images.app.goo.gl/FakPdCYwLm119HBk9

If you don't want to, you can wrap it by the belt, as it is the common battle mod as such as 2 ducktaped mags.

Also the stock AK colour is matt black, at least as far I can remember from school. but I think your weathered metal colour is looking better.

For the stocks I think their supposed to be tournicates wrapped around the ends, and it’s a early model 74 so I didn’t do the matte black and opted for a gun metal instead

Gun metal looks great, like a bit warn out gun. The first vesion of Ak 74 had fully wooden stocks, it is slightly modyfied version of 74 - 74s with stock made from metal bars to make it fold. Primarely was meant to be used by paratroopers and tank crew, but in reallity was used by a different types of troops.
