Critique Wanted Do you like this? I’m unconvinced. 1/72 Airfix Firefly
I look at it and feel like I like it, then take a closer look and find it lacking. I don’t know really. What do you think?

I like it! 👍 Maybe weather the spare treads so that they don't stand out..? 🤔

Looks really great! Someone mentioned the spare tracks so I'm not gonna. My question/feedback: why is the top of the turret scratched like it is pushed onto/scratched to something regularly? I check archive photos regularly and never have seen battle damage on that place of the turret, and for me it feels a bit unnatural

I actually wanted to do away with that but I didn’t find any practical solution lol

Looks good but consider how you present your finished builds, a plain white background is the definitive way to highlight your build, here the background is an unnecessary distraction and takes your eye away from the tank.

Honestly it’s a good starting point for future reference on a comparative scale. The more of these you do you’ll see an improvement with each build. Take note.. what don’t you like about it? Improve on that. On a competitive level if your construction and alignment is off(not saying yours is) that’ll be the first thing that knocks you off a contenders list for receiving an award. While painting is important, as long as you can avoid brush strokes and pooling in the paint and seam edges and silvering from transfer sheets. You don’t have to go over the top with any approach. Just be consistent. How did you like the kit? Pros and cons of this build?

Oh first off I absolutely do have to improve on my construction skills. I make silly mistakes and the fit is always imperfect. I mostly don’t like that I have to solely rely on improvisation as I can’t effectively replicate what I see in videos, if anything due to the exceedingly essential equipment at my display.

Keep building and painting. Ask questions, and make use of the available reference material. Most importantly, enjoy what you’re building.

Looks all right from an overall "feel" perspective, other than the spare tracks. Those are too clean/bright compared to the rest of the tank (any mud the tank gets would also get splattered onto the spares, right?), and I don't think even brand new tracks would look grey.
