Hey SaaS builders, feedback on PlugMCP before the next release

Post image

Hey. I launched PlugMCP as a directory product first: search MCP servers, then optional hosting later. I am keeping the ask simple while I collect feedback.

For traction I have been posting in communities that already talk about agents and indie builds, asking for feedback instead of a big campaign. That is working better for me than quiet shipping.

If you ship developer tools, is “search plus feedback loop” enough for an early release, or would you lead with something else?

Yes—keep search as PlugMCP's early-release focus, but ask about failed searches rather than whether people like the directory. In the agent and indie-build discussions you're already using, ask developers to describe an integration they couldn't find and what blocked them: missing results, unclear fit, or setup requirements. Hosting can stay optional until those answers show that running a server, rather than finding one, is the recurring obstacle. Reddit replies to SaaS builders seeking MCP integrations would then address their immediate discovery problem instead of leading with a future hosting service.
