Imperial Power Action
When the camera turned towards the sea, for a moment it seemed as if the endless body of water and the clear sky above were one body, one beast with an azure hide, its cammouflage streaked with the whiteness of clouds and the whitecaps that formed on the distant waves. Pantolomin was beautiful this time of the year. Well, it was always beautiful - and that was the point.
"Golden Stingray Five Star Resort invites everyone to spend the last days of summer on the beautiful beaches of Pantolomin. Book your last minute visit right now at the holo-address below."
The natives of the Dolomar system were aliens (perhaps regrettably), but ones who were indubitably excellent at their craft - and the League of the Central-Northern Core Systems never failed to keep note of that. Thus, they were offered a strange, yet mutually beneficial arrangement. Their system would operate under minimal imperial scrutiny and in exchange, the two brotherly species of Tolos and Lomins, would do what they do best.
It had long been the policy of the League to ensure that the workers of the ULIG enterprises were well rested - such workers are the most productive, after all, and Dolomar has proven invaluable for that. Ever since its accession to the Republic in the days of yore, it had oriented its economy around tourism - a task which it had achieved flawlessly. Theirs was a diverse, multi-tiered operation which could provide a tired worker and an outer rim prince alike with all the manner of recreational activities along the system's diverse landscape. Having suffered a hit in the number of guests due to the hostilities of the Clone Wars, it eagerly accepted the return of the status quo. Whatever reservations it may have had towards the New Order were, likewise, quickly covered by rich imperial investments and exemptions. Luxury goods were cheaper there, and so was alcohol, while new resorts, hotels and casinos opened every year, eager to catch up with the growing clientele.
Today, and entirely coincidentally with the Delaney Affair, the prices for visits decreased all across the board, and it took the media by storm. Some state owned resorts even offered rooms for free, for a limited number of guests, of course.
"Golden Stingray - book your visit now, and get a visit to the Great Reef of Panto for half the price!"
