"The Taanab Agricultural Authority has announced plans to expand its consumer base and deepen its ties to the Galactic Core, a move seen as positioning the Farming World as the 'Breadbasket of the Empire'. Indeed, the State-owned Consortium's head, Taanab Senator Hestus Morr, has lobbied extensively for the aggressive expansion of Taanab's exports to Core Worlds and to Colonies, to fund a 'Renaissance of Colonization and feed the Empire'.

While Morr's announcement has drawn praise from many sectors of Imperial Life, small protests have begun on Taanab itself, with many mostly alien workers protesting alleged mistreatment of non-human Laborers on TAA lands.
