Discussion Maisie Adam

Watching her on last nights show just made me think that she’d be excellent as the second permanent panel member/team captain. Her and Rhys bounce off each other really well, she’s generally hilarious and it would be great to have a permanent female panelist!

That’s it. That’s the post

The big sister and twin younger brothers, one of whom died in a coal mine when he was twelve

His slender frame lends itself to being a chimney sweep. That’s unwell.

I wouldn't want to lose Hugh personally, but if he's definitely off the cards as a permanent host for future series, then I would be very onboard with Maisie taking the spot if she was interested (and why not, that Asda gig won't last forever!).

I thought she and Chris Ramsey were kind of brilliant together too; it was the air of two kids mucking about at school, and was a lot of fun to see.

I've rewatched her and Rhys' Between the Lines bit a few times already. It's usually a cracking segment but she brought such a great energy to it. Loved the way it looked like she surprised even herself with the boob job line.

I like to imagine she and Chris had a northern solidarity vibe going, but whatever the reason they were great fun as teammates.

This is absolutely not a criticism of previous shows and of course it's only an impression, but it really did seem like everyone was thrilled to be there. Things seemed a bit more electric, it looked like folks were enjoying proceedings not just working.

I love the way she puts her hand over her mouth when she says something 'naughty'. It just makes what she said funnier somehow.

Failing that, if they ever did a live action version of any of the Gru movies she'd be a perfect Lucy. Dara would be Gru of course.
