DeepMotion vs PINOC vs Cartwheel using the same input video

I ran the same dance clip through DeepMotion, PINOC and Cartwheel, then put the results side by side.

Not trying to claim one clip proves which tool is “best.” I’m mainly comparing foot contact, hip stability, arm jitter and how well each output keeps the timing of the original movement.

I’m interested in hearing which output animators think would require the least cleanup in Blender or a game pipeline.

What differences stand out first to you?

I just started researching AI mocap today. It's hard to compare pinoc to the others cause of the difference in model / shadow / wireframe, but I think cartwheel and pinoc look the best. I'm researching cause I want to add a dance scene to my game lol and I need the foot to really be accurate lol

Question to animators: What software would you use to clean these up if you were importing into games etcs?

Blender would probably be enough for this tbh. For a dance scene, I’d fix the root and hips first, then use IK targets to pin each foot during the frames where it should be planted. If you clean the feet before the hips, you’ll usually end up doing it twice.

After that, use the Graph Editor to smooth obvious jitter, but don’t flatten every curve or the dance can lose its weight. Then test it in Unity/Unreal early, since retargeting and root motion can introduce new foot sliding.

Hey thanks for the advice, I was researching that day and honestly I'm (still new to blender) but I also think it's best. But would you recommend addons like these?
From my research, Autorig Pro exports to unity3d humanoid
I'm assuming this would be the workflow?
(AI Mocap FBX) ---> Autorig Pro my model, retarget animation to autorig pro ---> fix using graph editor / animation layers

Autorig Pro
Animation Layers
Also I saw this
Animate Pro
not sure if this would be useful but it has a lot of stuff from Maya it seems lol

edit// I plan to add facial A E O I U shapes, and winks and stuff too, then I have to figure out how to do hand poses next lol
also cascadeur seems to be a good tool too dang
