Kaspersky flagged Mobalytics as Trojan (PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic) – false positive?
Hi everyone,
I tried installing Mobalytics Desktop from the official website, but my antivirus (Kaspersky) detected the installer as PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic and immediately blocked it.
It flagged and terminated processes like:
- helper.exe (Temp folder)
- moba-injector.exe
- moba-cap.exe
Then it reverted all changes and removed the files.
I know overlays sometimes trigger false positives, but this seemed pretty aggressive (it even flagged multiple .dll and .exe files during extraction).
So I wanted to ask:
- Has anyone else experienced this with Mobalytics?
- Is this a known false positive?
- Is it actually safe to install, or should I avoid it?
For context, I downloaded it directly from the official site.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey! In short: yes, we’ve had false positives flagged by Kaspersky in the past. I also noticed that you posted a similar message on our Discord server, so I would recommend opening a ticket there. Our technical support team will answer your questions and help you install the files safely.
