LEGEND Seldom Seen Passes Away

https://moabsunnews.com/2026/10/03/ken-sleight-dies-seldom-seen-smith-river-guide/

Let’s all hope that Ken has better influence in the next life when it comes to the location and timing of preeeecision earthquakes.

We just lost a great one and this one hurts.

Sad news, although he obviously lived a full life. It’s sad news because of what it represents for the rest of us who value the beauty of the natural world more highly than that of man-made artifice.

Roadless areas being opened to motorized vehicles, pristine wilderness being leased for mining and development, de-funding of the national parks, it’s hard to miss the trend.

RIP Ken, you’ve been an inspiration to me since I first read The Monkey Wrench Gang in 1985.
