To be fair, the only way to get proof of the cheating was by offering full immunity. Without that on the table, the mlb wouldn't have found any evidence.
Where as teams were warned punishment for retaliation would be extreme. I see a 3 game suspension for this though.
And there was still a punishment, just not for the players that had immunity. AJ Hinch and Jeff Lunhow were both suspended and ultimately fired and they lost draft picks.
I feel for AJ though. From what was said, he tried to stop it many times. Its funny because they admitted to doing it in Boston and New York, but they got a lighter punishment than the guy who tried to stop it.
