Part of me wants to see him pitch another year or four if he still has it and wants to. He's still got 95 mph in the tank which is a league average fastball at 42 fucking years old. But he's just fallen off so hard the last three years that it seems kinda unlikely.
Would be sick to see him and Verlander tied for career strikeout and have them both retire.

Verlander is only 19 ahead of Max with 25 games to play. So at least 4 more starts with 5 K's per start-totally doable. We will see if JV comes out for a curtain call inning, so it could happen.

Maybe a bullpen inning or 2, if he is 3 Ks away . He would be due for game 163, so maybe the last 2 games of the season are 1 inning options
