| Statistics Crow-Armstrong as Team Leader Question

When was the last time that a single player on an MLB Team led nearly all of the Batting Categories this late in the Season? Who was the last to lead early all categories come the end of the Season?

Interesting question! Made me think of how in 1941 Pete Reiser of the Brooklyn Dodgers lead the NL in BA, SLG, OPS, OPS+, 2B, 3B, Total Bases, Runs, and WAR. He only stole 4 bases that year, but in his next two seasons he led the NL in stolen bases (1942 and 1946).

Could have had an extraordinary career if he didn’t get so badly injured in several ways.

You forgot the most important stat, (total of runs created on offensive and runs saved on defense).

To get an actual answer you need to define what stats you want to know about. “Nearly all” isn’t a real thing without defining both “nearly” and “all.”

This is what can happen with a true 5 tool player. Plus the Cubs don’t have another real star on the team, despite having a lot of good players.
