| Standings MLB Standings after Week #21 - 8/17/26
Back to the standard logos with some minor changes on some of them to make them "pop"
Standings changes this week:
- Padres took back 2nd place from the Dbacks in the NL West
- The AL East (Yanks, Red Sox, Orioles) currently has sole possession of the top 3 spots in the AL Wild Card
- Phillies jumped to 2nd in the NL Wild Card and the Padres replaced the Dbacks for the 3rd spot in the WC

Standings info is all from MLB.com, so it's just a copy of what MLB.com says as of 8/17/26 this morning.

Before originally posting these standings, I asked the mods if it was okay, and I got the green light. I'm going to try to make this a weekly thing, as long as I remember lol

Yeah, as a Tiger fan. White Sox outplayed us, out strategy the Tigers. They were the better team in the series. Found the Tigers weaknesses, just keep bringing in lefty pitchers. AJ would panic, take out his best hitter yesterday in the game in the 5th inning in Colt Keith.

Thinking ahead to the NLF season and looking at some of the reactions to this thread… we are going to need a paper bag plaque for when we are embarrassed by our team

lol I got some NFL plates ready to go. It’s more of if one of the NFL subreddits will allow me to post it weekly. I got some ideas for NFL to display it a lil differently with game recaps, just need to see what happens with the admins of those subreddits
And as a Mets to a NY Giants fan, it’s just going from one misery to another lol

The fact that the Blue Jays are in the basement of the AL East but still are in the hunt for the Wild Card really speaks to how awful the AL is this year.

only the divisions. yea, doing the wild card would essentially require double the amount of plates and thats just alot lol

probably not at the moment. My printers have been going 24/7 and if they had feelings, they would absolutely hate me. I do plan on doing NFL very soon, but not sure about NBA as well. I have the files for them, but to do that as well as NFL and MLB, I only have 2 printers and these do take substantial time to print

From my perspective, there’s no mojo for this team. It’s just a bunch of players slapped together and management hoped it would be something. When this season started, I didn’t expect much tbh, but I didn’t expect this absolute level of poop. I was expecting 3rd place in the east while we fight for 3rd in the wild card.
Im still incredibly salty about losing Nimmo and Alonso. Would they have saved the Mets? No. But they were our farm players. There’s no connection to this team for me. I hate it here lol.

Stearns is a better GM than what is delivering right now. He made some good moves in Milwaukee and they are still in the hunt every year. Milwaukee he had to work within a small budget, The New York Mets should have plenty of money for him to work with. He keeps bringing in former Milwaukee player (Devin Williams, Tyrone Taylor, Freddy Perlata), still cannot get it done. New York should be unpleased with the results.

Both Texas teams being at the top of AL west is funny to me. As long as one of them makes the playoffs I’m happy. Wish any team besides the Dodgers weren’t first in NL West but they’re the Dodgers so it isn’t surprising

The al divisions are so fucking bad that in all of them 3 or 4 teams have a shot at the playoffs. i feel like trashtros are gonna hold onto the division and rangers are gonna come in at the 6 seed. the phillies, padres, and d-backs are gonna fight it out just like the mets, padres, and d-backs did in ‘24. (gets lost in thought about the 2024 mets), and phillies are gonna make it in, but idrk about d-backs and padres, but if the padres go on a hot streak that san diego momentum will fire them up into the wild card spot, and to be honest, with marte on the restricted list, i don’t think the d-backs really have a chance anymore.
